Castle Sforzeco has so many museums and little displays that you could spend all day there. There's a great park behind the castle where you could do a picnic lunch.

If you want to see The Last Supper (and it's worth it!), you should book NOW. It can book really far in advance and there are so few spots (about thirty people per hour, I believe, in two groups of fifteen).

With five days you would have time for a side trip. You could consider a side trip to Lake Como if you want to relax on a beach, or go in the other direction to a town like Vercelli to get a feel for small-town Italy.

I highly recommend the restaurant Latteria Cucina Vegetariana, which is a tiny grocery store that serves AMAZING vegetarian lunches at super-low prices. It's a lunch place that is totally packed and you'll end up sharing your table with a local businessman... all part of the fun!

The most important apart from the Duomo itself, would be The Last Supper, by Leonardo Da Vinci. That's the painting mentioned in the book The Da Vinci Code (and the film)

I've put the link below so you can book tickets.

Also, I've put the link to LP Worldguide on Milan.

Hope that helps,

happy Trails
