I have had a latte with a double shot of espresso, two red bulls and a large regular coffee during my work shift today. Why am I yawning? Why do my eyes burn? I slept 6 hours. Does Caffeine have no effect on me anymore? It just seems to make me a little queasy...sheesh!

If you take something everyday, like caffine, your body builds up an immunity to it and the result is that it won't affect you the way it used to anymore. To get back that feeling caffine used to give you, I suggest you stop drinking caffine for about 3 to 6 months. Your body should go back to normal and the caffine should be out of your system. Then maybe the caffine will affect you like it used to.

If you stop drinking caffeine cold turkey, you will get pretty bad headaches and will actually go through withdrawal. The best way to get off of caffeine is to slowly reduce your intake. Each day drink a little less. It is also important to know that caffeine is in all dark sodas(coke, Dr. Pepper, etc.) and in tea. After you have have reduced your intake to none, you should wait at least a month before drinking energy drinks again to get an effect. Good Luck!

I know how you feel. I used to be able to have a large iced coffee & it would keep me awake all day, but, now I actually find myself almost falling asleep at work. I just started taking Tight (by SAN) today & am absolutely WIRED ! I acually am hopeing that this effect will go away soon (not continue for too many days longer) & that it won't make me awake all night, or, I will have to discontinue taking it. Maybe you should give it a try.Just make sure you only take 1 capsule in a day b/c I have read numerous reviews about people who took more & it had really bad effects (I did some research beforehand on it, but, never expected to be this wired)

That's a lot of caffeine! You are probably immune to it now.

I drink a cup early in the morning, another around 9 am and then one at 2:30-3 in the afternoon. It doesn't affect me much either anymore. But if I don't have my coffee, I get a horrible headache. Sometimes I don't even want the afternoon coffee but I will have it because I can't deal with the withdrawl headache. I guess we are addicted.

If the caffeine is in your body it's doing something and it can't be good. Your overdosing on the stuff. You better cut back before you find out what a lot of caffeine can really do!!

Your brain only has so many receptors for caffeine. Think of them as a compound to temporarily patch the potholes in your brain.

Once they're all patched, excess caffeine just makes your road bumpy.
