Everytime i have my semi-daily run, i notice that on top of sweating all over ,being dripping wet (i have sweating problems - ALWAYS sweat ridiculous amounts), my face is always beet red and BURNS! i have acne problems and use acne wash in the morning and at night. i think that might be what is causing it to burn. After i wash my face in the shower my face is still really red and is dry.

Does anybody have this problem of their face feeling like it is burning and is really red? perhaps people with acne problems as well? i want my face to not burn but i also want to prevent breakouts. My sweating causes breakouts but the soap i use cause my skin to burn, i feel.
Also, maybe any suggestions about sweating? I can't control that, can i??

I just went for my first run of the season outdoors today and was reminded of all the usual nuisances i have during running season.

Thanks!!

Try washing your face thoroughly before you go running. Also, take a cool damp towel with you, and make sure to wipe the sweat off your face frequently as you run. This will not only keep you cooler and stop you from overheating, but it'll also help stop the sweat and oils from your hair from clogging up the pores on your face.

If you're having trouble with your face feeling dry and "burning" and feel the soap you have mgiht be a cause, you might want to try a different brand (every brand uses a different receipe of ingredients). Most ache washes contain a form of acid that dries out your skin- using too much or too frequently can cause extreme irritation. If you're using it twice a day try stepping back to just once a day, or even every other day. Try some alternatives to your acne wash, like a plain "clean" soap that doesnt have too many oils or perfumes in it. If you still experience dryness, you can use some oil-free moisturizer once in a while and see if that helps.

Good luck!

Many anti acne products contain things that dry your face right out. I had this problem of acne with a dry face too

I switched to a clinique 3 step skin care system which had their acne soap, an astringent and an oil free lotion. The oil free lotion fixed my dry skin without adding to my acne problem, and the clinique products actually cleared up my skin.

good luck
