I agree!!!
But that has more to do with the 'southern' part than it does the 'baptist' part... I love inbred backcountry; always good for a few sh*ts and giggles!

Really, finances are a better indicator of this than religion. So which religions have a high number of poor people.
And while your "Question" is really an attempt to slam religions, a church that reaches out to the poorest in the community is a good church. The churches with the smallest number of poor people are usually just glorified social clubs.
