What would you do if we did not have illegal immigrants?

The illegal immigrants are the ones building back all of the houses that were destroyed by Katrina. Illegal immigrants are the ones who went to clean out all of the nasty houses in New Orleans and other areas that nobody else wanted to clean because it smelled so bad. Illegal immigrants are the ones that make sure they work hard and fast to get it done on time, but also efficiently. My father hired white people to work on his house after Katrina.They have still not finished and Katrina was more than 1 year ago! Also, the work that they have done is poorly done. My husband whom is Mexican and his friends have already done several of houses! And they look GREAT! Anyway- what I am saying is that you anti- illegals need to open your eyes and start appreciating!

My Husband has a job in another city that is not near my dad's house- he works 6 days a week, he don't have time to go work on my dad's house! Besides my dad hired friends of his because he thought that he could get a deal! So don't talk until you know what you are talking about!

all that nonsense about illegals not paying taxes is absurd, of course illegal workers pay taxes... you have to be irrational not to think about tax paying employees, first of all when you get hired you fill out paperwork and where does that paper work go to?? the IRS which in turn every SINGLE paycheck takes money from every worker. Benefits like welfare for example are NOT given to illegals you have to be a CITIZEN to receive them (not even permanent residents are able to get these type of benefits)... a lot of that money that the governement uses for public services comes from illegal workers who don't get a tax refund but do get money taken away every paycheck!!!! Now i know that a whole bunch of you who are against illegal immigration are just plain hypocrit because i'm pretty sure you have hired some illegal to do work YOU don't want to do!!! DO NOT sit there and talk about being inmoral when you prefectly contribute to the situation, and please DO NOT tell me that you are going to go out there and mown your lawn, or cook your own eggs benedict when you have brunch on sunday mornings after getting out of church!!! and please don't even get me started about raising your kids, you people are too busy with your lives that you can't even take care of your own children and you have to hire an illegal to watch your kids afterschool (and no, you are not hiring someone from those nanny services because that would take from your once a year vacation money)-- so in other words do not create an opinion on a delicate subject if you don't see both sides of the spectrum!!!!

We'd be doing just fine......I don't buy it for a second. I have a brother-n-law that came there with a crew from Florida....ready to work....they let them go as soon as the cheap labor arrived.....they didn't get paid either. I have a house right now I am living in that is under a class action suit having to do with illegals that effects 250 families in this area. Some dip hired illegals...they took the money and split for Mexico. He's loosing everything...which he deserves...and the rest of us are STILL waiting....4 years and counting. You can take your illegals and ..... I NEED an illegal like I NEED squat.

I'm like Julia....I'm stuck here coz of family issues. I can't get a job coz of "must speak Spanish" and the fact that there aren't many jobs. Move? LOVE TO....but I can't move till this darn class action suit is over....in the meantime....I loose money daily because my property value is dwindling because of illegals. Appreciate? Please. I've already personally lost more than any illegal could ever match. Each year my taxes go up because of illegals....each year my neighborhood becomes more and more undesireable because of illegals. What would I do without illegals? I'd be doin the happy dance in the street. I could get a job. I could order a burger and take a walk safely in my neighborhood. There's alot more that matters to me that I could do WITHOUT them. Far more than with them.

Without illegal immigrants - let see....

1. Enjoy better quality health care, social services and education because the money will not be bled off by catering to illegals and can be spent on other programs to benefit legal immigrants and citizens.

2. Enjoy seeing more employment for US citizens because the illegals will not be taking their jobs and driving down wages.

3. 4300 less American citizens will not be murdered each year by Americans.

4. Less diseases brought in by illegals who do not have to undergo the medical checks that legal immigrants do.

5. Not so much overcrowding in prisons. A third of all prison inmates are illegal immigrants

6. Less gangs and crime Especially sex crimes.

7. Billions of dollars more being put into the US economy instead of being sent overseas.

8. Less of a population explosion that the country cannot support.

*UGH* This is why I can't stand illegal supporters/American traitors. You guys want praise and recognition for an INVADER doing something that should have never been done. First of all, please sink in the fact that an ILLEGAL ALIEN is NOT supposed to be in the USA doing ANYTHING.

If the ILLEGAL ALIEN is not supposed to be in the country in the first place, please also let the fact sink in that there are more skilled Americans in this country than illegal aliens who can do construction work. WE DO NOT NEED THE EXTRA ILLEGAL ALIEN LABOR.

When the ILLEGAL ALIEN comes to the "rescue" to do work that Americans were scheduled to do anyway, all because they are cheaper, that is a NEGATIVE thing, not a POSITIVE thing. The illegal alien is taking INCOMES AWAY from American families.

Angel 1923, your heart is in the right place, but most of the people who post here are more concerned about the price of having such a huge illegal population here than looking at the relatively small benefits to their presence.

I lived in Phoenix, AZ, and can testify that the crime, the drain on public resources, the identity theft, etc., has really come to a head because of the illegal aliens. Business owners and private individuals who hire "day laborers" or assist illegals in falsifying documents are just as culpable in creating and maintaining the problem.

The bottom line, both financially and socially, is the the detriment to society in terms of crime, ID theft, etc. is greater for their presence than the short-term benefits of cheap labor. I'm not expecting a "best answer" because we obviously disagree about this issue, but please think about this post. Consider that there are no benefits without costs -- and the costs of illegal aliens is too high a price for the U.S. to pay.

I would be just fine without illegal aliens. The jobs would then be done by legal Americans for a livable wage . My taxes would be lower and my city safer. I don't appreciate any one that is in this nation illegally. My home was built by a custom builder that has a great reputation because he will not hire any illegal aliens. My home is perfect the workmanship top of the line. My employees at my ranch and in my business are all legal citizens. The 10 men that work on the ranch are all originally from Chihuahua. I live in Scottsdale AZ.
They are legal Americans now and very proud of that fact. . I pay top wages and provide a health care plan for them and their family's. I will not ever appreciate any illegal alien.

Legal immigrants deserve respect. Illegal aliens are law breakers who do not deserve jobs, amnesty, educational subsidies, driver's licenses, and other benefits at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. Illegal aliens first should be encouraged to Go Home voluntarily and then humanely deported as the law requires. Once the public recognizes that jobs and benefits equal encouragement the public will truly press for the flow to cease. Amnesties for illegal aliens have clearly made the problem worse and should be vigorously opposed.

Your one single house building experience does not speak for or to all whites or all illegals. Lumping people into these all or nothing categories shows your limitations in reasoning and in seeing everyone as human beings regardless of the color of their skin. Your father hired the wrong company and this has nothing to do with their race. Either that OR they weren't treated right. Yes, you actually have to treat people with respect and pay them for their materials and labor. Just because your Father hired white people to build his house doesn't mean that there aren't American citizens who want these jobs. Your Father just hired flaky men. There are Losers in every walk of life. Just like there are illegals of every color. The issues we have here (most of the people on this board) is that we are being inundated by illegal Mexicans and Central Americans. If your Husband and his friends are here legally GOOD FOR HIM!! He is living the American dream. If he is not legal he needs to get out and apply to come legally.
