That if someone falls away from the Lord, and never looks back, they were never truly saved to begin with? That this was a false conversion? Look at the parable of the sower in Luke for example....
Now many christians do backslide, but the Holy Spirit convicts them, and they do know they are in the wrong, that they are in sin....that is the difference between having the Holy Spirit and not having it. If you do not have the Holy Spirit you are not saved. See Ephesians 1 and 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 --this question is geared to those who say you do lose your salvation. You do NOT lose your salvation if you are TRULY saved- if it is a true conversion. Those that you believe did lose their salvation were just never saved to begin with- For God promises His Holy Spirit to us who are saved. And I am eternally thankful for the Lord! I would never want to slip off his narrow path! Matthew 22:14
For many are called, but few are chosen."

If someone dies and they are saved, they go to heaven, if they die and are not saved, they do not go to heaven, it is as simple as that! God knows who are HIS SHEEP, as it says in John.

Hello sweet little sister in Christ.. :)
Hebrews 6
1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
2 of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 And this will we do, if God permit.
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8 but that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
==============================================
For it is impossible for "those who were once enlightened", and have "tasted of the heavenly gift", and were made "partakers of the Holy Ghost"..
==============================================
Revelation 3
15 ¶ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..your sister.. In Christ.. :)

You are assuming two things:
1. That once a person is saved that they cease to have free will. Why can't a person be saved and then decide they no longer wish to be with God as Christianity defines it? Are you saying that you know the mind of God - you know who is saved and who is not? You don't.
Anyone can turn away from God. Even the most holy people in the bible turned away from God. It happens everyday. Some do not chose to come back - others do. But to say that these people did not have God, did not know God because they ceased practicing Christianity is not for you to decide.
2. You have to assume that Christainity is the way to God - and that only those who are Christians can truly know God.
I hate to burst your bubble - but Christainity is not the one way to God. It was never meant to be. Many of those who have 'fallen away' from Christianity have come to find God, and have learned that what Christianity teaches and what is the truth are two very different things.
We could argue all day about who is saved or was saved or is not saved. But it wouldn't get us anyway.
You have decided that you know what is in a person's heart and soul. You have decided to declare boundaries and your own laws on what it means to be saved. And since you have decided this, any argument to show otherwise is really futile.

Absolutely. But what a lot of non-christian don't understand is that we Christians know we're not perfect! That is part of the beauty of being a Christian. Jesus died for our sins. I strive to be sin free, but I know I am far from perfect. I have a child out of wedlock, I swear, and I used to do drugs (The outcome of this WAS the child out of wedlock). But I know there is still a spot in heaven for me, because I believe. I used to question myself, and feel like I was damned because I was a sinner. But after many of personal trails and tribulations, I now know that God doesn't expect perfection. He knows your heart. And all things happen for a reason. Becoming a mother has changed my lifestyle so much, and brought me to the lord. That is my personal proof that God forgives us!

Did you know that this is nothing more than a form of the "No True Scotsman" fallacy that silly fundie confuse themselves with??
Yeah right...just like a Christian who is caught snorting meth off the back of a gay hooker isnt a "real" Christian, right?

Hmm, what if they die during a blackslide? Like, what if a Christian just absent mindedly wonders, "what if there is no God" then suddenly gets hit by a bus?

Who wants to live as a mindless sheep? If god exists as the bible states, then he needs a psychiatrist!!! What kind of god needs us measly humans fawning all over him. Did you know that the bible says that when the Egyptians didn't pray to god, that he murdered the innocent first born babies instead of those that didn't pray? No god would have any needs, let alone need the prayers of a few billion humans. Did you also know that there are billions and billions more stars in our galaxy (like 190 billion more stars) than there are humans on the earth. Don't forget that there are billions more galaxies out there.

I understand that parable, but Lucifer willed himself away and satan will pull those of us away who do not remain vigilant and we are warned to remain vigilant!

Yes I knew this. Many of the Atheists here claim they were once Christian and saved but learned to think differently, I say they never knew Jesus to begin with.
