These are Tetrapak cartons, and can be recycled at specialist sites.
Tetrapak advise you to box them all up and send them off
to there site using downloaded address sheets.
But you have to pay for P&P.
Apparently, they aim to increase the amount of recycling sites soon.

I never know where to put the plasticy coated cartons either!
This is what Innocent say on their website...
OUR 1 LITRE TETRA PAK CARTONS
Despite most people thinking otherwise, our cartons are fully recyclable. The issue is, that most UK councils currently don't recycle them, in the same way that most councils didn't take plastic bottles 5 years ago.
Up until June 2006, lots of the UK's carton recycling happened at a paper mill in Fife called Smith Anderson. Unfortunately this mill has now been closed. What a pain. However, Tetra Pak remain committed to recycling all post-consumer drinks cartons (including ours), and all of their factory waste too. Collection is still happening with over 10% of the country now covered by a collection scheme. They even have a National Recycling Officer, Nic Mann and have given her £300,000 to help increase recycling in the UK.
The goal for the end of 2007 is to have 70% of the UK covered with viable collection points or schemes, working out of the four paper mills (North, South, East and West in the UK) currently under trial. You can see a survey of all UK local authorities that are collecting cartons and the type of collection they run in this interactive map. More information and updates can be found at www.tetrapakrecycling.co.uk.
If you local authority doesn't currently collect cartons you can download the below address labels and post them off to be recycled at Perry's Recycling in Somerset. It's important to use these labels because the platypus on them lets them know that it is cartons to be recycled and not normal post. Click here to download a pdf of the labels and instructions.
We've also got a letter you can send to your council to encourage them to start recycling Tetra Pak cartons.

I put cartons in the green recycling bags with paper, card and plastics (I also put yoghurt pots in aswell). I think different areas apply different rules over what type of materials go where in terms of recycling.

Recycle them as paper - the 'plastic' is only a coating.
** For OLLIE - Yogurt cartons ARE plastic.

they are not always recycled as they have layers of paper, card, plastic and foil so they are a bugger to recycle and can be expensive hence the reason councils dont always take them
if your council doesnt you can send them to tetra pak who will recycle them as they make them but you have to pay for postage. depends on your dedication
