I think it's a toss-up between Frontline and Advantix /.Advantage. I believe that Advantix/Advantage also keeps away mosquitos, whereas Frontline does not. Frontline, on the other hand, I've found to to be more waterproof than Advantix/Advantage.
I believe it's matter of personal choice and which will work better on your dog. Some people claim Frontline works better on their pet, and some people say that Advantix /Advantage is better.
I've used both and prefer Frontline because it doesn't wash off as quickly, but as I mentioned, it's matter of personal choice.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

I don't know if it's the best, but it is DEFINITELY better than any non-prescription stuff. Due to the expense, I tried for years to get by with the cheap stuff, until one year we had fleas so bad, it was horrible. I got Frontline and it really works.

NOPE....a natural method is always best! Try putting a little garlic powder in his food. Flea hate the taste of the dog's skin/blood when they have been eating garlic!
I have hundreds of rescue cats and dogs through my home a year and have NEVER had a flea problem!!

I use advantage but frontline doesnt get rinsed off with a bath (like advantage) so thats good but it could be bad if your dog or cat is allergic to it. If you have used it before and know they dont have reactions to it, its a good one!

Well, I suppose that depends on your feelings about putting toxins on your pet....
Fipronil is neurotoxic in both rats and dogs as shown in the acute and sub-chronic screening in the rat, developmental neurotoxicity and chronic carcinogenicity studies in the rat and in two chronic dog studies(38).--first link below

Toxicology

(vocalization), body twitches/tremors, overactivity, salivation, stiffened limbs,
unsteady gait, incoordination, labored breathing
Reduced fertility, decreased litter size and body weights in litters, fetus mortality
