With Jack Russells you need to be constantly telling them yes or no so when the dog does this what I would do is tape him/her on the noise and say "No" or " Thats bad!" I do this to mine and she pays real close attention. The only reason why I do that though is cause the book I read on them said thats the best way to do it since it will keep them from going mean.

The first thing you need to do is let him know this is NOT approprate behavior. Also, ask the owners of the other dogs to not allow their dog to do this to your dog. You need to be firm with him. We breed, train and sell Jack Russells, and I've actually had to resort to giving them a very firm slap on the nose and telling them NO BITE when they nip at my face. In the mean time, don't let him lick your face either. If you don't want him to nip at other dogs in the mean time, while you are correcting this behavior, get him a muzzle. When he nips, he gets to wear the muzzle. It will take a little time to correct this behavior, but it can be corrected. It does depend on how long this has been occurring, but the sooner you take action, the quicker he will learn.

Good luck, and please, let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Wow ... good thing he hasn't come across a mean dog ... yet. If he does, he may end up seriously injured ... or worse. :(

Simply scold him when he behaves inappropriately. Say "No, ouch"! in a firm voice, then give him a time out, where he has to stay in a certain spot for a certain length of time. This won't happen over-night, but, if you stick with it ... your Jack Russell will eventually learn that it's not acceptable to behave in such manner. Wishin' you luck. :)

Jack Russell terriers have alot of energy so you need to play and walk them every day. If i was you i would use a spray bottle to stop him if bites spray him and say "no" be firm your the boss not him.
