It's been my experience that we are "recycled" in a way. If Time doesn't exist, yet we live many lifetimes, then is it logical to assume everything that has, is and will happen, is happening Now?
So, actually, our soul would be split off into many "existences" at once. Have you ever felt there is another "you"?

I tend to think that like Jesus, God probably teaches by example. Since this is His earth and He wants us to take care of it, I would imagine that He would recycle our souls as a way of 'practicing what He preaches.'
Then again, the whole flood thing wasn't exactly 'thou shalt not kill'...
Hey, how about this: God is incomprehensible, this is just one of His mysteries! (that should about cover it, no?)
