Yes - however the paradox of this situation is that your IQ will soar because of the direct intervention of Divine Grace. So, in becoming an atheist you will recieve a blessing of intellegence by the divine creator, thereby creating an intellectual dillema which you will still be unable to solve despite your brilliance.

Intellectually, Christians and non-believers, like all of us, fall into the standard bell curve of intelligence, with the usual statistical distributions. I am a member of MENSA and a Christian, so I am at least one data point indicating that any assertion of inferior intelligence on the part of Christians might be flawed. Statistically speaking, there should be a few more of MENSA level persons that exist at the upper 2% of intelligence distributions of the population. Nevertheless, if you or anyone has some empirical data that supports an assertion about intelligence and belief or non-belief I would be interested in reviewing it for use in a conference paper I am authoring.

NO! You will notice that you will slowly become dumber and dumber. You will not even notice it after a short while. You will believe anything that stands against God, His people, and His Word. The hate inside of you will continue to grow and grow until it will consume you with bitterness. People will start to avoid you because you will no longer be fun. Unfortunately, you will become full of pride and wise in your own eyes while everyone else will see you become more foolish. Your only friends will be like minded as yourself and at least you will have some warm thoughts for each other as you pat yourselves on the back as you walk the wide and easy path to hell. But once you get there, you will become ashamed because you will realize that you were led away by the one you loved and served, Satan, himself. But it will be too late.

A wiseman will never confess he is wise. You give up your faith will not become an atheist who has their own superinsitution. When you feel someone dumb, may be you already dumb as you cannot understand why one did the dumb thing. Everyone did something must be a reason that one trust and believe.

If you gave up faith without a reason to do so except a belief it would make you smart, you'd seem less intelligent.

It will take a while. Just like rehab from any other drug, the side effects will slowly wear away...stupidity will lift like a veil over a period of 8-10 months...

No, but you would probably be more inclined to look for logical answer which in turn could lead you to be more intelligent.
