I am a Christian and I am completely gullible.
I choose to be.

One would need to support an assertion such as yours with more evidence.
In answer to your question, I would argue that Christians and non-believers are just like other folks; some are overly sensitive, insensitive, kind of spirit or not easily ruffled. In short, we are all imperfect people in an imperfect world just trying to get through the day. I believe charity of spirit is the most important quality one should strive to obtain. Such a benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity will enable a person to peacefully co-exist with everyone and make this imperfect world just a little bit more tolerable. We all have our inherent biases and flaws, but there is no reason we cannot strive to be better, no matter what our personal circumstances may be.
Intellectually, Christians and non-believers, like all of us, fall into the standard bell curve of intelligence, with the usual statistical distributions. I am a member of MENSA and a Christian, so I am at least one data point indicating that any assertion of inferior intelligence on the part of Christians might be flawed. Statistically speaking, there should be a few more of MENSA level persons that exist at the upper 2% of intelligence distributions of the population. Nevertheless, if you or anyone has some empirical data that supports an assertion about intelligence and belief or non-belief I would be interested in reviewing it for use in a conference paper I am authoring.

This is to the answers I have read so far,
All the time I hear atheists saying things, well people hate me because I'm an atheist, Christians attack me, they call me dumb and ignorant, they say all these bad things about me. Yet u somehow always neglect to tell us the way you treat us. Like Christians are stupid, who's point of view? An atheist or christians? Cause from a Christian point of view we are the smart ones.
If u do not wish to hear about religions then why are u on here? I know you have all the right in the world to be here, yet u always complain. They are shoving religion down my throat... Do u not have the power to turn the computer off and walk away? U don't believe in religion so u assume the only thing u can do is stand by and make fun of those who are christians.
All I can say is God Bless You....
( I'm sorry u guys feel that way about christians, we are not so bad)
This is to the rest of us Christians:
Why do u continuosly condem people? I know it is our job to witness to people, but do u not see that you are driving them away? Do not stay where u are not wanted, because somewhere else, someone does want to learn about Christ but has no one to teach him.
They have made their minds up and u can't change that unless they are willing, but as for the people who do not have their minds made up, that is where we need to be. I wish for all to go to heaven but it is their choice, if they wish to not hear then leave.
And we are supposed to be in the world, but not of the world. And i do see most christians on here, making fun of atheists... Why would u do that? Do u honestly think that they are going to come up saying i want some of what u got when u are making fun of them?
As for the question:
U do not have to be gullible at all to be a christian. It is accepted on faith, just like i have faith that my computer will not shut down right now, and it hasn't....
U do not always have to go based on what u see, but what u believe.

Exceedingly gullible. I was baptized a Pentecostal Holiness when I was five years old and attended Church and bible study twice a week for eleven years. When I was sixteen I was invited to a friends house. They were Atheists. They were the nicest most honest people I had ever met. It was then I became an Atheist and have never attended Church since.

You need only be in possession of a slightly less degree of gullibility than is required to believe that natural causes and effects have sufficient explanatory power to explain the origin of the universe...
