Why do you always try convincing people there is no such thing as a God, if in fact there was no God then there would not be a need to convince people that there isin't one, right. So if there is no God then all you athiests are just wasting your time whith convincing people and are acting very delusional: and if there is a God then why would you try convincing people otherwise? Both ways you are just wasting your time, right?

If the world around you was in a constant panic because the sky was falling wouldn't you take time time to teach them that it is impossible for the sky to fall?

"Why do you always try convincing people there is no such thing as a God, if in fact there was no God then there would not be a need to convince people that there isn't one, right. "

So by using your logic if there was in fact a god there would be no need to convince people that there was one, right?

We don't try and convince you that there isn't a god, we just tell you why we don't believe there is one.
Christians are the ones that are always trying to convince us that there is one.

Do you like it when people just except what they are told without bothering to check if it's actually true based on facts or evidence? Let's face it, people say they believe whatever is most in fashion at that time and because they will be disowned by their parents if they don't. That's what faith is. It's saying you believe something when you really don't know either way. It's trying to convince yourself something is true, because you know it's more acceptable than not believing it. It's called conformity. It's a form of ignorance, which every thinking person finds repulsive, and of course they will discourage people from thinking that way.

So then why are you god believer trying to convince and force your beliefs onto those that do not want to believe???

People use religion as an excuse to do what they want.
Religion has been used to justify war and hate.

Why do you continue to believe in something that does not exist? Why do you continue to think this god is real if he has never done anything to show that he does exist?

99% of all religion people use circular reasoning as a way to claim that god exist. Such as god exist because it says so in the bible because god wrote the bible. SO you see it is you who is wasting their time in trying to convince the non-believer to believe in something that truly does not exist

Don't you think the world would be a better place now If 10 years ago someone had convinced Ossama Bin Laden that there is no such thing as a God?

Generally, I don't see athiests trying to convince Christians - or any Theist, for that matter - of anything. They are just constantly beling asked to defend their lack of belief, so they put forth the arguments that have convinced them that there is no God. Then some Theists turn around and say "Whaaa! The bad naughty wicked atheist is trying to destroy my faith!"

*sigh*

I'm a theist, but I always seem to find myself on the atheist side of these arguments.

As you, we present our truths. Our assertions should not be viewed as "convincing" any more or less than your assertions.

We're not wasting our time; we think it's healthy to look at nature and see nature (w/o "supernature"). If my (now teenage) kids still believed in Santa "then there would be a need to convince them that there isn't one", IMO. This is analogous but contrary to your point. Do our truths give you pause for yours? Is the introduction of ideas threatening?

I,m actually a former atheist, watching the Science channel has made be think otherwise. Way to many "coincidences" for there not to be some form of intelligence behind all this. I still am very strongly against any form of organized religion, because I believe that it's is mostly about control. Not loving each other.

I'm not atheist but agnostic. I have known a lot of atheist and none of them have ever tried to convice me to change my beliefs. On the flip side I have had many christians....and even a couple of muslims try to tell me I am wrong for believing what I do.

Basically I believe that everyone has their own idea of what is right and everyone is drawn to something different. No one should try to push their beliefs on others. Its okay to educate...but don't force it. Don't answer a question that was never asked is basically what i mean.

Have you ever tried to save a sinner?

If there was such a thing as god, why would you need to convince someone that there is one?
