You asked

"Atheists: what scientific proof can you give me...?
...that you used to be Christians? (If you never were a Christian, then explain how you could give scientific proof if you had been one.) "

That's obviously a stupid question.

I haven't asked any stupid questions.

There's no "plank" in my eyes. The problem is yours.

I perused your questions and noticed a pattern. You seem to provoke those that don't believe as you do. For instance, your question "How hateful do you have to be to be an atheist?" is a loaded question because you are instigating confrontation by calling people hateful. I wouldn't call that one stupid, but I can see how you received such a negative response. If you believe in God, I would say that you are not acting as he would want by instigating arguments.

If I cared to read your other posts I would give you an informed answer as it is I'll go the more "christian way": because they do, because you say they do, I believe they do wholeheartedly and there need be no reason behind my beliefs.

Sometimes people will call your questions stupid if they feel it threatens or causes them to question their beliefs.

Just a thought.

As an " Athiest":

I get absolutly sick of hearing about your love for god. Glad ya love him....but I don't need to hear about it.

I don't want you to say you'll pray for me, it's nice of you to think of me and all...but no thanks.

I don't wan't to hear your point of view on what happened to me as a child that I don't believe in god...has nothing to do with mommy and daddy, I just don't.

It's easier to say you're an Athiest when someone asks why, you can always just say " Because I am"

I don't care to explain my beliefs, or lack there of to so, please extend the same courtesy to the rest of us.

Faith is a good thing for people...religion causes problems, war, murder, opression....

Because they perceive them as such ... just as you perceive "people on their side" to continually ask stupid questions. So in conclusion... I'd have to say this is a stupid question with an obvious answer.

Broad brush you're using there. Not all of us called your questions stupid.

Anyway, my "side" sometimes asks questions that may seem a little different or even silly but if you look deeper, you'll see that they are quite relevant indeed.

Because they are. We however opt to ask sensible questions revolving mainly around the flying spaggetti monster.
