False idols as opposed to true idols?

No, I don't think so.

The "false idol" is a Judeo-Christian concept (the golden calf). If one is not a Christian, Jew, or, presumably, Muslim, then the idea does not apply. A polytheist, Pagan, Wiccan, Magician, or any other believer in an alternative religion is assumedly free to worship whatever object he or she wishes and without fear, I would imagine. Negatives and taboos in religion are derived for the purpose of intimidation and to exert power over the frightened masses. One who does not submit to such controls may express his/herself in any manner preferred, inclusive of worshiping idols...

I would say that they don't. An idol connotes an actual image made of wood, stone or metal. In other words, something made by human hands. To them, the gods are alive in much the same way that Christians view God as a living being. A concept of God, or gods, is not the same as an actual, physical idol that you can set on your coffee table.

To a Jew or Muslim, worshiping Jesus as God is blasphemy and idolatry. It's all a matter of perspective. Pagans worship what they worship, just as Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Hindus worship what they worship. No religion's god or gods are any less "real" or valid than any other's.

No, and they're not satanists either. Wiccans seem to be nature lovers that worship the 4 elements of life; Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire. They believe in doing no harm to others. If they do harm others in a deliberate act, the harm will come back to them ten-fold. I am not Wiccan, but I like their attitude and values.

I worship Isis with all of my heart and soul, and would do absolutely anything for her - just as others feel about God/Jesus. I don't believe in Jesus, but I respect those who do, and don't claim him to be "false." Sadly, I expect the same from others, but oh well.

I bend my knee to no idols or figures. Including some brass that looks like a guy nailed to a wooden cross.
