What would you do if we did not have illegal immigrants?

The illegal immigrants are the ones building back all of the houses that were destroyed by Katrina. Illegal immigrants are the ones who went to clean out all the nasty houses in New orleans and other areas nobody else wanted to clean because they smelled so bad. illegal immigrants are the ones that make sure they work hard and fast to get it done on time, but also efficiently. My Dad had white people working on his house. They have still not finished it and it has been more than a year since katrina! Also , the work that they have done has been poorly done. My husband whom is Mexican and his friends have done plenty of houses already! And they look great! Anyway- what I am saying is that you anti- illegals need to open your eyes and start appreciating!

Hey Tony! You are just jealous of the Mexicans because they can get more white girls than you can! You said that they don't need to nail the white girls, what did one of them take your girl?

And to all of you other people- Go to Church or something- God loves all people- no matter the color or u.s. status that they have! Do you think that God would seperate people with borders?

DON'T BUY A HOUSE BUILT BY ILLEGALS

Many home developers will only hire illegal aliens to maximize profits. There are famous developers making hundreds of thousands off of each crappy home they build.
Several contractors I know said they would never buy a house built by illegal aliens because the workmanship is very poor. The homes may look nice. However, the framing, foundation, electrical, and plumbing, are not good. That is also a safety issue. Illegal aliens are now replacing licensed electricians. Most new home fires are caused by electrical problems.

Most illegal aliens don't know basic home construction methods. And they are taught as they build. Sorry but I won't buy a third rate home.

There are many construction companies that now advertise they don't hire illegal aliens. Those companies are getting a lot of business.

I won't buy a home built by illegal aliens. I don't want a fire in the middle of the night because an illegal alien missed the wood and put a drywall screw into an electrical wire. Slowly over time that will cause a fire.

Thanks for the information. I will call the immigration office to let them know that there are known illegals in Louisiana that are working illegally in the reconstruction effort.

As to your other comments - there are American contractors that are more than willing to do the work well and correctly.

Since I personally know of people from that area that are now living in the area that I live in - I can tell you that your claims are a tad bit uninformed.

Construction that should only be taking a few weeks is being totally hampered by those that are following the totally legal path of building. Getting an inspector out to a job site can take MONTHS! Moving forward on the project not allowed until they are passed by the inspector.

As the wife of an illegal, I am sure that you are more than 'thrilled' with anything that he does and says - but that doesn't make you an expert in homebuilding and knowing if he is indeed keeping within code. Right now - some of those 'wonderfully built homes' that were constructed post Katrina - having to be torn down because they do not meet code.

That is exactly what happened to one of my customers who is now going with a company that is going to do things totally by code and totally legal.

So think what you want - just remember that there is more than one side to the coin that your attempting to present as 'fact'.

What would we do without illegal aliens? We'd do our JOBS!!! The problem is that the illegals are taking our jobs, not the quality of their work. Maybe one day you will understand when it's YOUR husband who can't get a job. We don't appreciate people stealing our opportunities to support our families from us then bragging about what a good job they did. That's irrelevant.

I would be just fine without illegal aliens. The jobs would then be done by legal Americans for a livable wage . My taxes would be lower and my city safer. I don't appreciate any one that is in this nation illegally. My home was built by a custom builder that has a great reputation because he will not hire any illegal aliens. My home is perfect the workmanship top of the line. My employees at my ranch and in my business are all legal citizens. The 10 men that work on the ranch are all originally from Chihuahua.
They are legal Americans now and very proud of that fact. . I pay top wages and provide a health care plan for them and their family's. I will not ever appreciate any illegal alien.

Legal immigrants deserve respect. Illegal aliens are law breakers who do not deserve jobs, amnesty, educational subsidies, driver's licenses, and other benefits at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. Illegal aliens first should be encouraged to Go Home voluntarily and then humanely deported as the law requires. Once the public recognizes that jobs and benefits equal encouragement the public will truly press for the flow to cease. Amnesties for illegal aliens have clearly made the problem worse and should be vigorously opposed.

I can't believe you used Katrina as an example. That was a largely black city, and originally the contractors were hiring black Americans who lived there to do the work. Then they decided it would be cheaper to use contracted foreign workers and illegal aliens, and let the black workers, who needed the money to rebuild THEIR TOWN go.

Look it up.

And no, Americans built most of the buildings in the country, we're pretty good at it too. Americans just need the wage back to where it was (in real dollars) before illegal immigration became rampant.

Just because your Father hired white people to build his house doesn't mean that there aren't American citizens who want these jobs. Your Father just hired flaky men. There are Losers in every walk of life. Just like there are illegals of every color. The issues we have here (most of the people on this board) is that we are being inundated by illegal Mexicans and Central Americans. If your Husband and his friends are here legally GOOD FOR HIM!! He is living the American dream. If he is not legal he needs to get out and apply to come legally.

New Orleans is being cleaned up by illegals working for next-to-nothing because the white workers who are there are a tiny remnant of a once-great town...in the past decades, NO has slipped into a giant crime-ridden ghetto, with no one there having even basic skills required to run a bandsaw or swing a hammer!

Illegals come to our towns, injecting their third-world diseases back into our schools, after we spent the last century eradicating them..polio, TB, Dyptheria...all are rampant in the Third World, and are now coming to a school roon near you!
