Learn about conversion factors. In this case: 55 miles = 1 hour If I divide both sides of that by 55 miles I get 1 = 1 hour/55 miles Multiply the 832 miles by that and the miles unit divides out and your answer is in hours. You have multiplied by 1 so you don't change the size of the 832, only the unit you measure it in. The conversion factor idea is handy in physics, chemistry, and a lot of other sciences.
