You are being asked to invent some kind of small robot or car or trolley that can be controlled by a simple computer program to do things, right?

In school we used to have BBC Microcomputers and on them we would run a programming language called LOGO. With that we could connect a toy turtle to the computer and make it move in patterns on the floor. If one put a pen in it it would draw pictures on paper as it moved, if we let it drive around on the paper.

Think of those LEGO toys they sell nowadays that can also be controlled by a computer. Your answer might be a computer controlled crane that can pick things up off the floor and drop them in a box, like cranes on a worksite or cranes in a port.

It's hard to know what you're supposed to be doing without taking the class. Maybe you should ask your professor what the question is supposed to mean.
