You could cut a piece out of a new vacuum cleaner filter, but that's pretty expensive. Or, if you've washed the dryer sheet, that might be OK.
But I'd use a DIRTY vacuum cleaner filter before I'd use a new dryer sheet!
Even paper towels don't work all that well. Go buy some filters at COSTCO--the supply will last you a YEAR~! And hide a few as a backup for when you run out next time.

Don't do it unless you like Orange & Magnolia Downy flavored Folgers...
Here's a better idea... Why don't you boil water. When it boils, turn it off and put in your coffee grounds. Let it steep, like tea, and then ladle it into a cup to keep grounds from getting in the cup.
I have done this when I was desparate for coffee and had no machine. You may think about investing in a gold coffee filter, they can be washed and reused. They are pretty inexpensive too.

The dryer sheets contain chemicals that would be toxic but you probably would not die , just be ill .
Note: I said probably, but no guarantees . .
I never use a paper filter , most of them have bleach chemicals in the paper to make it a pretty white .
I just put coffee in a pyrex pot , pour boiling water over it then (mine comes with a press) but since you do not have a press , just pour through a fine steel mesh strainer.

Tide liquid with a sprint of Downy sparkling Breeze. Downy sparkling Breeze liquid fabrics softener. For sheets and blankets i exploit a similar detergent, yet i exploit Downy easy Pleasures vanilla and lavender fabrics softener.

I'd use papertowels. I don't think dryer sheet is a smart choice. You should really consider that you have a coffee adddiction and need help.

I think it is a splendid idea. Your teeth will have no static cling issues today and instead of horrid coffee breath your breath will be as lovely as a fresh mountain breeze.

I wouldn't recommended it.
You could always cut a paper towel to fit your coffee maker. It won't taste as good as regular... but it does work.

If I did that, then the first sip would be spitted all over the room or I would go and throw up in the toilet (no offense to you).
