Religion is seperate from acedemics. As far as I know, no religions have a problem with kids going to school 6-7 hours a day.

School should not be associated with religion. For the six hours a day that children are in the care of the school in which I work religion is only a part of Religious Education and that is about philosophy and the opening of minds to different perspectives and the approach of difficult problems from different angles. Muslim and Christian children are given the opportunity to pray as required and at present only the Muslim children (and a limited number of them) choose to. Church, Mosque, Synagogue, Temple, Gurdwara are places in which religion are the most important thing. School is where learning, learning tolerance, learning to live with those that are different and the furthering of knowledge are important.

What does religion have to do with length of time in school.
As long as all kids are taught about all religions and allowances are made for all religious practices (including festivals, prayer 'sundown' and religious days).... Then there should be no problem.
All religions will encourage schooling as this would make for a better educated and therefore more prosperous future generation.

My kids will be homeschooled. Bible will be apart of our curriculum. They need to learn. But God will be a big part of it too. Obviously acedemics are important during the week. But sundays are the Lords day. And wednesday nights. And school will be studying the bible also, instead of other literature.

Children should "go to School" for as long as it take to learn what is needed to grow up and be prepared for a adult life, namely a job or career.

my kids will be homeschooled, where learning isn't shoe-horned into 45 minute increments or "subjects".
we will be learning all the time.
and the will learn of religion in an anthropological sense only, I'm an atheist.

Doesn't matter what your religion is, based on your poor spelling, YOU need to go to school for MANY more hours.

i dont think kids should go to school at all.i think people should educate their own kids, rather than farm them out for strangers to teach. especialy when teachers are dictated to by politicians, who want them brainwashed to their ideal rather than the ideal of the parents.
