Enforce the laws we have.

Immigration and naturalization should increase the amount of immigrants to a level that is satisfactory. I'm really not sure of the current number, but heard that 65000 Mexican nationals a year can legally immigrate to the US at this time.

Along with increasing the number, the US government should have a no tolerance policy for the Border Patrol not doing their job... If an American company hires illegals they should be brought to justice with heavy fines. That would also include drug and human smuggling rings. It's just doing what the law dictates.

And last, an amnesty program on a first come first serve basis for Mexican immigrants that would fill the new quota with the remaining hunted down and deported.

I would like to add that there are always extenuating circumstances in life. A situation that needs to be adjudicated for minor restrictive infractions, such as, an illegal that has been here for twenty years and runs a successful business or a long time tax paying illegal with no criminal record, should be looked at as a benefit to the US. These types of cases should be handled by INS or Border Patrol to determine if it can be overlooked and made legal.

I'm well aware that two wrongs don't make a right but, why make it a lose lose situation.

There already laws on immigration so let ICE go after employers NOW! aclu is not for America they are more interested in taking care of the illegals that are here. If they come over here and do it the illegal way and have kids. That is not our problem take your kids and head back across the border. Go back to mexico or where ever and start straightening your own country out.

I have answered this one a bunch of times, but it never hurts to answer again.

1) Secure the border
2) Enforce immigration laws
3) Deport illegal aliens as they are arrested for other crimes
4) Do not allow loopholes for illegal aliens, such as anchor babies
5) End welfare programs and penalize companies who employ illegal aliens
6) Set up guest worker program, if needed, after the unemployed citizens have all found jobs

By enforcement of our immigration laws, if you want to come to the U. S. A., all we ask is, do it legally. If our immigration laws are out dated, it is up to the people to change them, not the illegal aliens.

It should be handled. Right now, it is not being handled. We need to know who is here, when they are supposed to leave and whether or not they leave when they are supposed to leave. We need to be more selective about immigration, as unrestricted immigration is negatively affecting our quality of life. I could go on with many ideas that I consider good, but you get the idea.

Legal OK, ILLEGALS should be rounded up & sent home with a computer chip implanted in them that will go off when they try to sneak back in, alerting us to their exact location. Any employer should be sent to Mexico or where ever the majority of the illegal employees are from & forced to live ther for the rest of their lives. BTW THIS IS THE POLITE VERSION OF MY LITTLE PLAN.

I too have answered this question way too many times. They should get rid of the resolved section, or put up a FAQ or something.

Anyway - DEPORT THEM ALL AND THEIR OFFSPRING!!!! Put up a wall and a landmine field, get rid of the 14th Amendment to stop auto citizenship to childrens born to illegal aliens.

That was my short answer.

Remove the incentive for illegal immigration and there will be no immigration problem. If people can't work illegally, they will not come. No border fences or guards necessary.
