i use aussie mousse and dont let your hair be really wet just a step beyond damp then turn your head upside down and blowdry while scrunching or using a diffuser. then hairspray as soon as you get it as scrunched as you want with aussie extra hold

Lol I I know what you mean. All that curling product such as the gel and pomade leave your hair nasty and gross even to the touch. All that stuff does is way down your hair and make build up.

Keep it simple and just use moose. There is so many brands on the market strictly meant to scrunch your hair or for curly hair. From Finesse products to Aussie.
Check your local store; and check out the selection.
And use Clarifying shampoo (Pantene) once a week, to remove any build up from any products you have used. It will give a better effect to your hair if there is no by products weighing it down.

I have really thick hair also, umm don't do it while your hair is still dripping wet, let it air dry just a little bit then I usually just use gel and scrunch it up...I have seen people scrunch their hair while using a hair dryer with a diffuser on it, personally I didn't like mine when my hair dresser dried it after. I just like to let it dry on it's own after I put the gel in...also after you gel and scrunch...hairspray it

good luck girl! hope I helped

get your hair damp or towel dry it after washing your hair. Then apply the sculpting foam and scrunch your hair starting at the ends and working your way up.

scrunching iron and some setting lotion that Paul Mitchell sculpting foam should work just fine.

okay i have really thick hair to. and it's down 2 my shoulders 2. there r various clip holders out there that make u look stylin! if that doesn't work here is a step by step process:

1st. comb through. ( twist it braid it, or whatever u want)
2nd. then pull it in a ponytail in the center of your head.
3rd. twist it into a cute style.
4th. then ruberband it
5th. don't let the hair tie show by putting a clip on it.

i use garnier fructis curl shaping spray gel. it comes in what looks like a hairspray bottle but it works really good and when it dries, you can't even tell there's any in gel in your hair. i love it!
