I don't think so--I'm pretty sure you need antibiotic eye drops. You should see a doctor. And remember it is extremely contagious.

you really need to go to the doctor and get antibiotic drops. I got them and my doctor said after 24 hours on them I was no longer contagious. I suspect you would be contagious much longer without them. Plus my eyes were very uncomfortable until I got the antibiotic drops and my eyes quit sticking together in the mornings too.

And believe me you are VERY contagious. It would not take much at all for others around you to get it.

I don't think artifical tears will treat your pink eye. I would call the doctor and ask just incase they will help, but I think you should go see the doctor and get some medical eye drops.

You should stay home for a couple of days if that's what you think you really have, wash your hands often and use antibacterial spray on everything. When you go in public with something that contagious, you're really endangering a break-out, but if you must, keep your hands off of your face!
