I'm 5"7 335lbs. I use those Walk Away The Pounds Exercise DVDs. 3 Mile and 4 Mile. I love to walk.

I think anything is better than nothing.
Walking is great exercise. Along with a proper diet, you should be able to lose weight.

I'm not a personal trainer or nothing ,but I knew a guy that lost alot of weight. So I asked how did he do . He said simply walking. Which I bet is a good way also you should try to step it up a little also. Like jog 1 minute walk 4 and so on and so on. Until you feel comfortable to jogging more than walking.Right now I'm jogging more than walk on the treadmill. And you will be too just keep it up.

Well, I can say that the best way to lose weight is to get your heart rate elevated to 70-80% of your maximum heart rate and sustaining it for a minimum of 20 minutes. Walking wouldn't necessarily do it for some, but considering your BMI, I imagine your heart rate is pretty elevated, particularly if you do it a brisk pace. The critical catalyst and compliment to your exercise plan is your nutrition plan. Make sure you are consuming proper "fuel" for your body. Because the body line is if you consume more calories than you burn, you are just spinning your wheels. Good luck and keep it up!

It's worked for me! I walk 3 miles everyday. I lost 26 lbs two years ago. And walking was the only thing I changed. When you can get outside do it. I have three, three mile routes that I switch up. That way I'm always looking at new things. P.S. Keep up the good work!

Walking is one of the best ways to shed pounds. Keep at it. Even on the days you don't feel like walking, go out and give it at least 20 minutes....chances are you'll feel better and continue on with the rest of the walk. Good luck to you!

Any form of cardio is beneficial in weight loss. Good for you for exercising! I found a great deal of benefits when I began walking years ago and I still benefit. It's an incredible stress reliever as well which can also help your weight.

Walking is the most effective way to lose weight; and I don't mean treadmill either. Actual walking is the best way.

Yes, it will help. Worrying about eating less than a certain number of calories is even better. Running is better than walking, but stick with what you like.

yes ..the best way is to have a girl frind or partner go with you. You'll find yourself talking (which also burns calories) and you forget you are actually working at walking.

Of course it is! Walking is so benefical to our bodies, it also strengthens your back. Any type of walking exercise is good!
