usually when one damages the growth plate, such as in one leg, that leg will be slightly shorter. the bone growth is in the center of the bone not the ends as most suspect.

Perhaps, but don't overdo it. Too much of any mineral or vitamn is dangerous. Ask your doctor though. Don't want to be messing with a growth plate.
