roll up some newspaper and when he bites smack his nose with the paper once while saying NO! This won't hurt him, the noise will get his attention. Try giving him treats to reinforce positive behavior when you get him to calm down and snuggle.

Lab puppies are very aggressive players but all pups will try to bite when they play, you just have to brake them of the habit. As for snuggling? I have 3 labs and labs don't get out of the puppy stage for around 4 to 5 years. They don't do much snuggling. My 7 year old only snuggles when he is finally exhausted..( but then I am also ) other than that he bullies me around like I'm the kid...You should crate train your dog but never use it to punish him. He is just a puppy and pups are difficult...Patience,Love and training...Good Luck..

regarding the barkingn, what's worked well for me and most other dogs in the obedience classes i went to was getting a spray bottle with half-water, half-vinegar. Anytime he does anything bad, i.e. barking or nipping, spray him across his face/nose.
