No your not the only person that knows how to use turn signals, its just that people do what they want to do. I dont know what country or state are you from but in san francisco. alot of people use turn signals but in china people dont use them at all and drive like a maniac.

I use a turn signal if I am the only person turning left (USA) at a signal. But I don't use it if I'm in a turn lane with a bunch of other people.

No you are not. I use it too here in North Cyprus. And I stop at red light. Some people think I am stupid.
So many people are ignoring traffic rules and endangering our lives these days.

I think most people dont understand the consequences i.e. causing a rear-end or side-swipe accident. LOL my bumper sticker actually reads: I bet Jesus would have used HIS turn signals! LOL.

~ If I'm in a left turn lane (USA) and behind someone doing the same, I don't waste my time with the signal... the whole line is turning same direction...
~ If I'm first in the left turn lane, I do use my signal
~ It's rare that someone does not use their signal

I use mine, but what really kills me are the people who never turn theirs off and end up driving miles while it's on! That can be just as dangerous, if not just annoying!

When I first moved here, and went in to change my driver license, I asked them if this means that I have to quit signaling, ....they were not amused.
