1) Technically, God did save all of the elect before the universe was created.
Jesus died for ours sins for several reasons, which cannot be addressed fully in a small space. One reason is that God wanted to demonstrate just how seriously he views sin. Two is to show God's love, by giving God a chance to actually sacrifice the only thing that he could sacrifice (sacrificing the world, by contrast, wouldn't have been much of a sacrifice, because he could have always made another).

2) Of all times, Jesus' coming could benefit us the most now, why did he come 2000 yrs ago? Because he had to come sometime. If he came earlier or later, you would still be asking, "why then?"

3.) And the apostle Paul said in the book of Romans that the sacrifice of Jesus was applied retroactively to everyone who had faith in the God of Abraham.

4) You could have figured out these answers out for yourself if you just spent some time thinking about it.

1. If he saved us from the beginning then there would not have been free-will. By sending Jesus to die for our sins He gave us a choice to either accept him or Satan, and by accepting Jesus by faith, it becomes more real and more sacred.
2. Only God Knows why His timing was when it was. I am certain that He had a reason for His timing. Gods time is not our time.
3. No not at all. Jesus told the thief hanging on the cross next to him that "Today you shall be in Paradise with me". Jesus went into the belly of the Earth and preached to them that had died before him to give them a chance to accept Him. They had a choice and some took that choice and others didn't. Overall that is a subject that was not much talked about and is one that I'm sure that God will give you the answer to if you ask and believe!!!

Good questions!

If Jesus was sent from GOD to save us then?
1.Why didn't the all knowing GOD just save us from the get go.

andy-r - He gave us the power to choose, free will.
Lucifer perverted his gifts and chose death and persuaded 1/3 of the host of heaven to follow him.

God doesn't want any robots in heaven, he wants people that made conscious choices and backed up those choices with actions.

andy-r-Jesus was the lamb slain from the foundation of the earth. God has shown us that the way to overcome self is found only in Christ as he conquered death and provided and means whereby man could lay hold of saving grace.

2. Of all times, Jesus's coming could bennifit us the most now, why did he come 2000 yrs ago..

Andy-r,

He came to fulfill many prophecies and show the power of God's word as the Lamb of God.

3.and does this mean that everyone before Jesus was not saved????

No those who believed in the saving power of the blood of the sacrificed lamb that it was from God were also saved.

Rememer the story of Moses in Exodus how the Lambs were sacrificed and blood painted on the door posts so that the angel of death would passover? Those who believed in this were spared God's judgment being covered by the blood of the Lamb.

1. It was God's design to save us that way. It's a byproduct of free will that some will not choose good, and will turn away from God. It's also a byproduct of learning and being human that it's possible to be deceived and make mistakes. God saved us through a man because he had given authority over the earth to mankind, and he does not go back on his word. Jesus saved us by fulfilling what mankind SHOULD be.

2. God's judgement said it was best to send him when he did. He's still available today, just not in the same way. We interact directly with God today because of the Holy Spirit.

3. NO. Jesus' death was in the mind of God before time began, and it was even the reason Adam and Eve were able to be saved. He saved the faithful through Jesus even before his manifestation on earth 2000 years ago; as the effect of his sacrifice is independent of time.

1. Free choice. Jesus died on the cross for us to demonstrate His love for you and me. Then He was resurected to domonstrate our ability to follow Him in having eternal life.

2. Jesus's second coming is what could benifit us now. He will come again, but with a much different purpose in mind.

3. Jesus was a new covenant with God. Before Jesus there were other covenants express through prophets that the people were to adhere to. What a better way to help us understand that its not about works than to have examples of works failing. That give more meaning to the sacrifice made on the cross.

#1.) If God saved us from the "get go" then we would be like controlable machines. He wants all of us to have free will and to chose to believe in him out of faith not force and/or design. Jesus had to die for us to set a "perfect" tangible example for us to try and match.
#2.) Jesus didn't come here prior to 2,000 years ago because the general population wouldn't have the intellectual capability to grasp the devine message. At the time he did come the people were overall smart enough to get the point but still naive enough to accept it with a childs innocents. Unlike today, "we" overall think we're to intellectual to have God in our lives because we think we can give ourselves the answers of life and everything else. If Jesus came for the first time in our present time, most of the world would put him in some type of an occult catogory and completely dismiss his message of salvation.
#3.)Everyone prior to Jesus taking human form and walking the earth was saved, the bible states that we are not held responsible for things we do not know. Although, if you were Jewish prior to Jesus's arrival you were held accountable to the laws of the old testament. The old testament was strickly related to the geneology of Christ and related soley to the Jews. After Jesus died for "all" of our sins, gentiles (such as myself) were spirtualy in the same class as the Jews. May God bless you for asking such a thought provoking question and getting those of us who believe to think about our Lord and saviour, Jesus.

1. Because He couldn't give us free will and still allow us into heaven without Jesus dying.

2. Because the message Jesus brought is still alive and well... in fact, it's reaching a whole lot more people now (all around the world) than it did when He was on earth.

3. It might mean that, but let's hope not.

1. You could even say...why create us at all? We only caused trouble! But my only thought is that God loves us so much. For all the trouble and pain we cause, it causes much joy and rejoicing when we turn from sin towards him. He didn't want us to love him because we had to, he wanted us to love him becasue we want to.

2. Only God knows why he picked the time that he did. All we can be sure of , is that it was the perfect time.

3. People were saved before Jesus, but they were saved by the law. When Jesus died on the cross, he descended into hell and released the righteous. So, they were saved, but they were waiting for him.
