They are a very good overall breed. They are intelligent, alert, and friendly. They make good watchdogs, they are protective of their family and will bark if a stranger approaches. They are quick to learn and easy to train.

I have one , they are definitely not the dog for everyone , they tend to be high strung, very excitable and usually very vocal, most are quite healthly, main health issue in poorly bred ones will be patella problems.
because they are excitable most will pee when excited, and may have redirected aggression when over excited the main reason many end up in pounds.
As a result it is not a breed I would recommend for unexperience dog owners

oh goodness
as a dog groomer i can say with a fair amount of certainty that they are the most evil creatures on the planet
cute, lovable, ok, those things ill give ya, but they are too smart for their own good, shed like an avalanche and really hate to have strangers touch them
sucks for groomer
