It depends. Licking on the mouth kind of grosses me out, but licking on the cheek seems like a kiss. I know a dog's mouth goes places you would rather not think about, but put things in perspective and it won't seem so bad. We swallow a quart of mucus a day, there is a percentage of bugs parts allowed in canned food and I won't even go into what goes on behind closed doors in the food service industry.

It's adorable. It's love dearie! If someone will let their dog lick their face then ya know it's loved and happy.
A dog won't attempt a lick if they're normally scoulded for it, especially in the face of their owner.
I actually ask my dogs for kisses and they're always more than happy to do it!! It's another way to get their lovins!! Can ya tell I love the mutts in this world!?

I personally do not like dogs licking my face, I view it as a safety issue.

That they are very dog-friendly, they almost feel dogs as humans. I know what you're getting at, that it's gross. But let me tell you this: I always loved animals, but I didn't have one at home. I always kept all hygiene measures, washing my hands thoroughly after touching an animal. A friend of mine had a cat, and once I saw her kiss the cat on the head, and I thought"Uhhh, how can she do that?". Now i have a cat of my own, and I feel so close to him, that I kiss him all the time, he evn touches my lips with his paws and I don't mind. So I don't judge people accepting their dog's sign of affection!

I let my dog lick my face - I know what he has eaten and that he is clean!

Our dog LOVES to give kisses. Especially to a guy that needs to shave. I've actually timed her licking my husbands face- upwards to 10 minutes. I laugh my *ss, then tell him to go wash his face.

she must really love her dog! :-) dont worry i let my dog lick my face too! other dog owners wont think its weird but people with animal phobias might! i kiss my dog on the mouth too! but i would NEVER kiss a big dog's mouth or an outside dog ( my dog is a shih tzu and she lives inside)

I think it's wonderful how much our dogs love us. And I would prefer to be kissed by them, rather than some people I know!

face ok .. it is kinda cute.. on the mouth.. yuckkk nasty..i use to raise dogs and i have seen them eat the poop of other dogs and lick their urine.. gross.. not to meantion make a meal out of the vomit of them selves or other dogs
