Start at 120. Don't listen to what other people say. The doctor will definitely let you know if you're gaining too much.

I have sort of the same problem...Im 22 weeks and Im not sure what weight I was when I get pregnant, probaly between 130 and 135....now Im 155, I look big too but I dont think it really matters pregnant women all gain at different rates and carry their babies differently, I think it may also have something to do with genes because my sister was also pretty big at this stage of pregnancy...So I wouldnt worry too much about what other people say, your doctor will let you know if you have or havent gained enough or too much. Ask the doctor about how to measure your weight gain too. Sorry if I didnt really help at all

Weight gain is measured from what your starting weight was. In your case it would be 130. You do not have a weight gain until you are back above 130.

I have gained 12 lbs from my prepregnancy weight. I am 40 weeks and I keep getting asked if I am having twins. Your doctor will let you know if there is a problem.

Many woman lose weight at the beginning of pregnancy. I would start counting at 130 because that is your pre pregnancy weight, just keep a mental note that you lost those ten pounds.
People are going to constantly comment on your size because they are idiots and can not keep their mouths shut.
For example, yesterday some guy reached out touched my belly and said "oh aren't you cute, you are so big, you must be carrying twins". I "politely said "you're a jackass, I am 37 weeks pregnant now get out of my way".
What can I say I was having a bad day, but he is still a jackass.

When I was 3 months preg. with my daughter people where surprised to notice I already had the baby bump. I only weighed 110 lbs to start, weighed in at 169 at the ER and gave birth to a 9lb 5 oz baby girl. They all thought I was going to have twins, even people I didn't know. A good way to keep people from saying that you look too big or "are you having twins" is to say "i don't know if I'm having twins, if I do, do you want one" Its great for a laugh as the people will stop talking AND WALK AWAY FAST!!!

When you're pregnant there is ALWAYS someone that has to make a comment about how BIG you look, etc. Do not worry with what others say, only listen to what the doctor tells you.

Good Luck.
