Can you seed a torrent without downloading?

I was wondering, could you seed a file without downloading?
Because my friend wants a dead torrent, so I wanted to seed
for her, but I don't know how to without downloading...
any suggestions??

You cannot seed unless you've downloaded the whole file or uploaded that file. If there are enough peers you might eventually finish downloading the file (in a week if you're lucky).
