all of my tattoos have a special meaning.
i have a koi on my back swimming up a waterfall with lotus flowers, lava rocks and a sea turtle.
the koi represents the struggle of life and surviving it. the lotus represents beauty. the sea turtle wisdom that is gained with age. when it is completed it will be a full back piece

i have a skull on my right foot as a memorial to two people. one who was murdered and one who was killed in a car accident. it reminds me to live every day like it's my last.

and my newest tattoo is a korean takeout box with a fortune cookie as a tribute to my family heritage.

I have 6:

1. A lizard and tribal on my left calf: My first tat, so it has special meaning. I got it with a friend I met online, we have since grown apart, but I won't ever forget him, and I won't forget my first Canadian (the country!) experience!

2. Large tribal horse heads yin/yang: 2nd tattoo, my husband and I share this image, his is on his arm. It symbolizes us, just in an abstract way. A much better choice than placing his name somewhere on my body, or mine on his. The Lord knows the second we did that, we'd have split!

3. Tribal arm band w/sun,moon,star: Just a tattoo I picked because I wanted a new tattoo. My least favorite, but its pretty and stylish. No real meaning....

4. Large Koi: Stand for what I have gone through over the past couple of months. Defeating and making it through life's difficulties. Upper left arm.

5. Large Japanese Tiger and cherry blossoms: One blossom for each of my children. The tiger is a symbol of strength. Lower middle back/upper back/shoulder blade, left side, ties in with the koi.

6. Hannya mask: Though it symbolizes jealousy, mine symbolizes much more to me. It again is part of the koi, and the tiger. It sits upon a lotus flower and is surrounded by water/waves. Upper inner left arm/armpit.

I have seven and looking to get two more:

1. Black dragon on lower left leg
2. Red dragon on lower right leg with a dragon symbol in the middle
3. Arm band of kokopeli tribe on left arm
4. Orginal design drawn by myself on upper left arm
5. Red and black dragon on right lower forearm
6. A fariy with zodiac signs and writing, a tribute to the women in my family on upper right arm (this was a cover up)
7. Last but last least a traditional chinese tattoo on the top half of my back which is of a tiger and a dragon (this was a cover up as well).

I have one on my lower leg on the side with my husband's name made into the shape of a heart. It's hard to explain, but the C is the left side of the heart, then the H next to it. The S is the right side. All 5 letters shape a heart. They're sort of bubbly letters but not really. So yeah, super meaningful!

And I have a flowery thing on my inside wrist, my friend did it with indian ink when we were 16.

1. Sacred Heart on my left shoulder blade my husband picked it.
2. Dagger with snake wrapped around it with 2 blue roses. I got it when I joined the AirForce it represents my courage and the flowers are for my parents.. Right shoulder blade.
3. A red rose with Mi Vida Loca on my right ankle got it after my divorce from my 1st husband.
4. A lipstick print on my right buttock it's purple just so people know where when I tell them to kiss my a$$

1 is a manga woman done in silouette stepping into water that u cant see,its pretty big, its my xmas tatto, cos it was my first happy xmas.
the other is a little unicorn, which i got cos i could the day after my 18th.
iv already decided to have a gecko done above my left butt cheeck for me n my mans anniversary.

I have 4 - ankle band on right ankle, small lady bug inside left wrist, sun on left hip and guardian angel next to right sholder blade. The guardian angel is in honor of my mom who passed away 5 years ago. I got the tattoo a few weeks after her death. I had her initials included as part of the tattoo and without any prompting, her initials look exactly how my mom would sign them as if she did it herself. Kinda cool!

i have 9...a tree frog hanging from a branch on the outside of my left calf. a peace sign with the american flag inside it and the word "freedom" underneath. it's on my right deltoid. a tiny black heart on my left thumb. the symbol of the sacred four-winds on my left wrist. a lakota medicine wheel on the back of my left shoulder. a lakota turtle on the back of my right shoulder. a death moth on the back of my neck. a "girlie" skull butterfly on the inside of my left forearm, and the largest one i have is 10" long by 6" wide on my upper back...2 crossed eagle feathers under a blue and red arch. over the arch are the words, "mitakuye oyasin." loosely translated mean, we are all related. they all have special meanings to me. and i'm going to get as many more as i can afford.

small blue crescent moon with a flower around it on left side of upper back-I got it to piss off an ex-boyfriend who thought tattoos on chicks were gross and 3 music notes on my right foot because I am a classically trained singer. I love music. It's my life!
