Because we are smart enough to look around and see that it exist.

Isaac Newton tells the story of an atheist friend who came to visit him. The friend noticed a scale model of the solar system setting on Newton's desk and ask who made it.
Newton said, "No one".
The friend, thnking that Newton had misuderstood him, asked again.
Newton replied "No one".
The friend, getting a little anger, exclaimed, "You expect me to believe that NO ONE made this. It is simple to complex and perfect not to have been made by someone".
Newton smiled and said, "Then why do you think no one made the original?"

It is called indoctrination. The earlier you usurp a mind the easier it is to mislead a person.

Just for the record creation is not a lie. It is how it is distorted that creates a lie.

All that matters is man's creation of his self that have be bastardized into the idea of a God as creator. That is what man will have to reconcile to reach his full potential.

I don't expect you to fully understand my point as a person indoctrinated into creationism by a God. It won't be a God that solves our problems it will be the education of man into his own divinity and creative power.

All thought is creative even the one the creates the idea of God. Get it!

outside of the US and the crazy part of the muslim world, hardly anyone does (nice company we keep huh?) The short answer is they're scared they've wasted their time on a lie, and their parents, churches, communities etc. They wouldn't know what to do without it. But many religious people here don't believe in it either (the CATHOLIC CHURCH for example) so it must be more about just being difficult for the hell of it. They have a persecution complex, taking creationism out of public schools isn't quite the same as being tortured to death though.

Good question. There is proven facts backing up Creation but they've never found anything to firmly back up evolution. If you ever meet an evolutionist ask them what caused the big bang, if they tell you pieces of matter then ask them were that came from, etc. Eventually they won't be able to answer. If there wasn't a Creator how does anything exist? If we came from monkeys how come no one is changing today? Why don't our grandparents remember anyone "evolving"?

Because it takes more faith to believe that everything started from a one-celled amoeba that suddenly decided to sprout legs and crawl out of the primordial ooze onto land and proceed to develop into all the species of things in the world, than to simply believe our God created it. The odds of every little piece of this universe falling exactly into place are astronomical. When a person chooses to believe in evolution, it's only because they choose not to believe in God, so they clutch to a completely unbelieveable theory. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

Lots of people also believe the world was flat, until it was proven wrong. This arguement assumes that the masses are correct. Have you ever seen a riot, I guess it was ok to steal when everyone else is stealing.

Why did millions of people believe that the world was flat? They intrusted the knowledge that they were willing to accept. Even though there is no evidence to support Darwins theory many choose to believe. Even though there is evidence supporting Intelligent design, they choose to ignore it. There will likely be people standing before God awaiting judgement and still not believe.

Because it is a lie that gets force-fed to children from an early age. At the same time they are taught not to ask any questions of their religion.

The fear of damnation prevents them from ever doubting the story of creation.

This is an example of the Argumentum ad Populum.

1. Many people believe X.
2. Therefore, X is true.

Let's take this question back a couple of centuries.
"If the earth being flat is a lie, why do so many people believe it?"
