I asked him did he want to change and he said "yea". So I began to tell him about the people in this world and about what he would gain from doing this. I gave him some gospel rap cd's to listen to and before you say anything its ntn wrong with it and the rapper is not doing it for money. Now I have him reading Revelations to show him what will happen soon. Once he finish that I will give him some other books to read. I want him to change his ways but I dont know if he really wants to. I asked him and he said yes..

AND WITH THE GOSPEL RAP CD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. IF RAP CAN BE USED TO MAKE A PERSON TURN FROM GOD WHY CANT SOMEONE USE IT TO TURN THEM BACK TO GOD. AND ITS NOT THE MUSIC ITS THE WORDS.

I would pray and ask that it not be your words that instead you are lead by the Holy Spirit. Let the Father guide you. Try to show your friend why he needs Jesus.

honey, he doesn't need anything but Jesus. You are putting the cart before the horse so to speak. Just lead him into a relationship with Christ. Show him the Roman road Scriptures on salvation. He needs peace with God. Tell him how much God loves him and wants to have fellowship with him...then lead him in the sinners prayer. If he meant it in all sincerity from his heart then Christ will forgive all his sins and be His Lord and Savior. Then get him into a Bible believing Church on a regular basis. Have him start reading the book of St. John. Outward change comes when there is an inward change.

Is he a moral person? Does he abide by society's laws because he knows that this is best for everyone? Why do people insist on transforming the lives of the people they know into mirrors of their own lives? If he's your friend, then you know he is capable of many kindnesses of his own accord, not just with the belief in a supernatural entity. Accept that. If you cannot, then you might consider that the problem is not with him.
You can't change a person to fit what you want. You can only change how you respond and interact with that person.

If he does want to change you can help by being a good example to him and answering his questions. If he is completely new to Christianity, why don't you invite him to church with you. He may want to join a bible study with you, or a Fellowship Group. Just being available to answer questions and being a good example is a great way to start.
Perhaps your role is just to plant the seed. I had a good friend plant the seed and it took a few years for it to take hold. But it was there when I was ready years later.

Pray for wisdom and listen to when God tells you to speak and He tells you just to be a living witness. Ask him about the CD you gave him? Does He like it? Why? Let him ask you questions.

tell your friend that Christ is the only way to go to heaven just as the bible says, right?? do not make him follow rules or to follow the bible, because this will make him go away. Teaching him about the Holy spirit. This is the only way he will have his attention. Everyone knows about the bible, jesus and all bunch of dumb stuff you can think, but the holy spirit not everyone does. and good luck. remember you should not force no one to do something.

first, rap is what the world listens to... how is that Christ-like? whether he does it for money or not... also, get Him to read John 1 and Romans. these are the best books for a non christian to read.

if you truly want your Friend to change his life around. be a living example for him to see what the church has done in your life. that's the only way you can truly bring someone to the church is by being an example yourself. and don't pester him about it because it may make him decide not become apart of not only your church but any church.

Sounds like you're a good friend, continue to be that. Give him space on the subject, let him collect his own thoughts. He'll share them with you when he needs to.
