I always do. It disgusts me when others don't. I have been in women's restrooms and seen all too many women who finish doing their business in the stalls and then leave without washing their hands. When you consider that they just wiped themselves and have microscopic bacteria on their hands, that is just disgusting. I saw one such woman at a birthday party for her child. She and her husband prepared wonderful ethnic food. It was delicious but I got an upset stomach afterwards, even though that type of food never affects me that way. After I saw her come out of the restroom stall without washing her hands, I wondered if she had prepared the food without washing her hands and that was the reason I got sick from the food. This is why restaurant workers are required to wash their hands after using the bathroom. People can get sick. Even if you are a guy and don't have to use your hands much while going to the bathroom, there are still germs to be had, and I for one would prefer that those germs be washed away instead of given to me. Thanks for the question!! I feel better now for getting this off my chest!

Yes. It was really funny one week when I was with another lady for a training class and we had to take bathroom breaks together.

Every time I went to wash my hands, she'd have to come back into the restroom and wash hers. She was used to heading straight to the door when she was done in the stall, but she was embarrassed because I made a stop at the sink--every time.

Of course, we never discussed this.

Yes, before and after because you don't know what kind of bacterias you are caring specially when you open the bathroom door, not everybody that comes out of there has washed their hands...... Think about it.

Yes. Thoroughly at a public restroom or any restroom shared with others, at home I'm sometimes pretty quick about it skipping the soap if I've only gone #1 (I must admit I do the environmentally unsound thing and use a *big* wad of paper, and all the surfaces like doorknob & flusher are my own & pretty clean) but I'll never skip at least that... anywhere in a shared restroom I do use soap.

I wash my hands so much that they are dry, scaly and bleed sometimes. Gross, I know. I use a ton of hand lotion.

But yes, I wash them each and every time I use the bathroom, after I blow my nose, before I touch food, before I touch anything in the kitchen. I think I have OCD.

Actually, I deceptively wash my hands after I use the bathroom. That goes for the washroom too.

I wash my hand before and after using the bathroom!

Yes, thoroughly, for obvious reasons of sanitation; but, it always bowls me over when I see people doing it half-***, or skipping it all together.

Some people just think if they can't see anything, then their hands are not dirty. They don't think of the microbes they can't see.

Imagine your embarassment at a business meeting, upon shaking hands with an important client, and he/she receives one of your pubies as a token of your esteem, b/c you didn't wash up properly, or a whiff of your funk,

I do, truly, about 95% of the time. Handwashing with hot water & soap is refreshing & an excellent way to prevent the spread of ALL kinds of germs...not only the bathroom kind!
