who won?.....marquez,.....what do you think about the ref's ruling? i think jay Nady's ruling was a complete joke, Barrera did knock Marquez down in The 7th but also hit him when he was down, what does Nady do?? punishes Barrera for hitting Marquez when down but doesn't call a knock down, how strange!! but Marquez maybe done enough just to win but not by The "crazy" judges scorecards, another joke, rematch could be on the cards 16th of September, Barrera will k.o Marquez next time,

Barrera should have won, but they gave it to Marquez. The refs ruling was horrible. It was clearly a knock down and you can tell it affected the way Barrera fought the rest of the fight after being deducted a point when he thought he scored a knockdown.

It was Marquez. Sadly for me. I liked Barrera in that fight. Barrera kept his cool during the media tour, during training camp, and even during the fight. I wouldn't have thought he would lose. The only reason that the scorecards were too wide of a margin for Marquez was because of the knockdown that Jay Nady turned against Barrera, instead.
In the rematch, I think Barrera will fight safely this time around. Similar to what he did to Juarez, he sacrificed excitement for the title. It could be either that or Marquez will be Barrera's Jermain Taylor, De la Hoya's Shane Mosley, and Mosley's Winky Wright. Simply said, Barrera is no longer capable of handling elite opposition after all of his grueling wars in the ring.

I presume you are asking who we think won or should have won. Well, if your glove hits the canvas, thats a knock down. The question is, did Barrera win that round any way, or was he robed 2 points. From the cards, it wouldn't have mattered, but from watching the fight, Barrera dominated most of the fight, if not, just 6 or 7 rounds. If you win 6 rounds and have a knockdown, you win the fight. I don't see how the judjes could make such a big mistake. Oh yeah, $$$$$! Dame Vegas owns boxing. $$$$

it was a great fight.
i still believe marquez won the fight after barrera was deducted a point for that punch while marquez was down. the refs scored it they way it shouldve been.
i like both fighters a lot but i think its time for marquez to finally make some money after so many years of looking for that BIG FIGHT!

To my great shame I still haven't watched the fight, I didn't figure Barrera would lose, and from what I read, he didn't. The blogbaba has long ago learned to ignore the "official" scores and watch the fight before I comment, the corruption in Vegas is the stuff of legend.
