I think keeping yourself occupied will help. Do things around the house, hang out with your friends always smile, because you don't want everyone to see you sad. It will hurt for a while there is no need lying about that. But being dumped have you go through questions like what did I do how can I fix it, hmmm whatever! Dont waste your time and sometimes just hanging out with yourself helps too! Just make sure you don't pick up any addictions like shopping for shoes :-). Also, find a hobby drawing, skating, something that just keeps you happy and going. Oh and get rid of some of the stuff that you had together either throw it away or put it in a box and seal it!

This is the advice I usually give:

First, buy chick flicks and boo hoo movies, eat calorie filled food and give yourself a little while to mourn it out.

After that:

You can do the "movie make over" thing, I've done it and it's fun. Makes you feel like you have a fresh start. Color and get your hair cut, do your nails or get them done... Buy a new outfit or change up your wardrobe the best you can... just change a few things and have fun!

Go out with girlfriends, not on dates yet, and start flirting! Maybe you can even step up and ask a few guys for phone numbers... you don't ever have to call if you don't want to. Or you can write your number on a piece of paper and give it to a guy and wink. Just have fun!

When you are ready, start dating again, and by then, you'll forget all about "what's his face".

Best of luck, Sweets.

I wish there was a pill for this or something, but unfortunately there isn't. Time heals all, so see how you feel in a week. The only thing that has made me feel slightly better after a bad break-up is getting a new boyfriend, or a make over, or something like that. Try it. Good Luck.

...time patience and keeping busy with yourself and your REAL friends will help. Time is gonna be your best alie though babe. Everyone takes different moments in time and deals with issues in their own specific manner of sorts anyways. You will be the best and only judge of how long you wanna suffer through this thing reasonably. Get up, get mad, get proud and get busy darling. The world waits around for no one really. Today is the start of a new beginning for you truly. Get out honey...and rule your own day babe! Good luck!

Cry at first. Then go Have a Fling with a hot guy you know is single. Cry some more. Then sit down and have yourself a nice big gallon of Ice Cream!!!! Then after that accept that it wasn't meant to be and let time heal your heart.

Be selfish. Focus on yourself. Buy yourself something nice and don't feel guilty about it. Join a new group so you're not sitting at home. Know you're beautiful an worthy of a decent relationship and learn from past mistakes.

Start by going out to clubs and meeting other ppl. U need to allow yourself the joys of life and and stop feeling bad. Take it from someone who knows. Let the old be old and invite some new in your life.

Thing is,you're gonna feel dreadful for a while but, with time you will realise that you've had a narrow escape..If it wasn't working for one, then it would never work no matter what you did..Everything happens for a reason and you will find the right person for you..Be patient..
