spanking your kids and beating your kids is completely different, and people get them confused all the time. i think kids need to be spanked, but not beaten. but people take it so overboard. do what you think is right, with your kid. some kids can live without it. some kids need it.

The whole "spare the rod, spoil the child" thing is taken out of context. The Lord, God or Jehovah (depending on your faith) never intended parents to spank their kids. The staff, as in the staff of a shepherd, was to guide his sheep from going astray, not to beat them with it.
Saying that, I am a parent that uses spanking. It is effective and sometimes the best option.
Sometimes, just sometimes, a child will not doing something very wrong only because they don't want to get a spanking.

i come across it easily relies upon on the youngster. There are some that could swear via it and there are some that say this does not help them in any way. some young toddlers are stubbern and spanking them will purely lead them to prefer to do the comparable ingredient back. i think of a spank right here or there won't hert the youngster whether it would be achieved as I mentioned provided that it makes a distinction. i comprehend with many young toddlers it does not artwork.

i believe it is 100% ok to spank. There is a line that should not be crossed. the Lord said to spare the rod will spoil the child. Sin is supposed to hurt, children don't fully understand the consequences of their actions therefore need to be spanked.

Actually, not "everyone" can agree on any one way to parent a child. For every person you find that says spanking is bad, there is one person who says it's a necessary evil.
Someone else said it, and I'll repeat it. God is not giving parents permission to beat their children. In fact, He's admonishing parents to be firm in raising their children. Firm doesn't mean hateful or neglectful. Firm doesn't mean abusive. Firm means that you establish rules and you enforce them, always tempering punishment with mercy under the circumstances. THAT is what I believe God is instructing us to do. And the failure to do so for fear of being "disliked" by our children is what has given us an entire generation of spoiled brats with entitlement issues.

The "lord" is a fictional character, so what he says makes no difference. It is, nevertheless, perfectly ok to spank your kids if you do it within reason. A spanking on the backside is not abuse.

He doesn't say it is okay to spank your kids, he says to rule your children with a firm hand which means to not be wishywashy and change rules for them. Some people take that to be spanking your kids but it actually isn't.

What are you talking about? When did "the lord" say spanking was a good thing? I have a problem with any higher power that would condone physical punishment of a child, doesn't seem to be a loving figure to look up to.
