How can I step my telephone convo up?

I do not like speaking on the telephone but it seems that everybody else does, I need a way to make my telephone conversation extend longer than just 3 minutes.

During your free time,make a list of all those matters you wanna discuss with people.You can either try to memorize those topics or keep that list near you,whichever you find easier.During convo,you can come up with these topics one after another without ever going blank or pause.
I tried this and it worked.

If you only talk to a couple different people, keep a mental list of everything you need to talk to that person about before getting on the phone with them so that you don't have to make repeated phone conversations that are less than 3 minutes. Also, in book stores (usually under sociology) there are books on conversation starters, so if you don't know the person too well but want to know them better there are questions you can ask. Don't be afraid to talk about what's for dinner, the weather, or how your folks are doing. PS. there's nothing wrong with short phone conversations if that's all there is a need for. People are busy.
