The "image" reference is almost certainly spiritual instead of physical. Otherwise, when I meet God, I'll be looking at some tall Italian guy...in other words, a mirror image of myself, and that's a scary thought.

do you want him to? Being created in God's image does not mean physical appearence. It means the Love, Compassion, Understanding, and Grace that he bestows upon us. We are supposed to be the same. God is not a physical being, He is the Intelligence that you have. He is the love that you feel. He is the very air you breath. thank him for the beutiful body that you have. Now that that's out of the way, lets see what we can do about world hunger.

According to Genesis 2:7, the way God created man was to form his body from the elements of the earth, breath into it from his own spirit, and man became a living soul. So man was made with three parts that touch three different worlds. The body function in the physical realm. The soul functions in the mental (mind, will and emotions) realm. And the spirit communciate with God. Three natures in one being.

Same with God who functions in the spriritual/heavenly realm as God the Father, the physical realm as God the Son, and the heart realm as God the Holy Spirit. Three natures in one being.

As for the question of God having breast? Abraham in the book of Genesis refers to God as one point as "El Shaddi", which means the "Provider of all things", but is literally the words "The Breasty One". The idea being that God provides all we need like a mother provides all her baby needs. So you could make a good arguement that God has "breasts". (LOL)

An image is not flesh but an image. Just like your picture. Jesus was male and represents God in the flesh so yes he has breasts and no he isn't female.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Meaning:God is, as it were, taking counsel here with Himself, not with angels, since man was to be made in the image of God, not of angels. "Our image," therefore, implies human likeness to the triune Godhead. Plants possess a body and animals possess a body and consciousness; man was not only to have a body (of the created "earth") and a consciousness (of the created "soul"), but man was also to possess a third created entity, the image of God, an eternal spirit capable of communion and fellowship with his Creator.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Meaning:Note that "man" is here (and often in Scripture) used in a generic sense to include both man and woman. Both male and female were created (the details of their physical formation being given in Genesis 2) in God's image. Thus both possess equally an eternal spirit capable of personal fellowship with their Creator. Shared equally by men and women are all those spiritual attributes not shared by animals--moral conscience, abstract thought, appreciation of beauty, emotional feelings, and, especially, the capacity for worshipping and loving God.

It is not you physical image that is of God but the spriritual or soul. God breathed into you a soul , which he called the breathe of life. It is the soul wich is eternal that is the image of God. Yet it is your choice as to where this soul will spend its eternity.

We are so much more than just flesh and bones. We have a spirit and God is Spirit and we are created in His image.
