I have my reiki3 and no one wants to be a healer they just want the healing sessions. I don't charge or anything they just would rather not be attuned.

Many people want to be healed and have a peaceful life, but many do not want to take on the responsibility to become a healer themselves. Some people believe it is a lot of work, takes a lot of training, spiritual belief or faith or ability that they do not have within themselves or are unwilling to learn about. Some people may think that they are not worthy to become healers or lack something to be a healer. Being a healer means sacrificing your time and desires so others can heal, giving unselfishly without ego to others to help them in their healing process. Most people do not have the desire to do that.

And it is ok that not all want to become healers of others, it is more important that people seek out healing and transformation for themselves. As each person transforms their life, they become an example to others to do the same. People you heal may not become healers but they will still effect change in the world around them.

I think that to actually become a Reiki healer, one must accept the responsibility that comes with it. Now days it is a business for some and therefore must do the paperwork of a business. Those of us who are content to teach and heal as people are drawn to us are rewarded with an energy connection that is limitless. I believe that there are a lot more people in need of healing at this time than are ready for the commitment of being attuned. If that is what is happening for you, maybe it is part of your path to do the healing until some ask for the teaching. Check in with your Master for re-attunement and see if that makes a difference. namaste'

First off, you should charge SOMETHING. There should be an energy exchange, even if it's just barter. That's part of the person getting the session taking responsibility for their own healing.
Which bring me to the reason why no one wants to learn...because they'd rather come to you and make it YOUR fault if they don't get better. They say "fix me" they say "heal me" they say "make my pain go away". It will never be permanent until they change how they look at it and say "Help me heal myself"--but then if the healing doesn't "work", they have to take responsibility for that, and no one wants to.
Becoming a Reiki healer themselves means that not only would they have to take responsibility for their OWN healing, but for that of others (if the "fix me" trend continues) and they don't want that.
A big part of this is education. I educate my students and clients (gently) about personal responsibility and energy exchanges and how healing really works. (If a person doesn't give up something to receive the energy, there's no place for the energy to go...which is why you have to charge or barter. It's right in the Reiki precepts.)
In fact, I don't teach Reiki anymore (except for Mayan Reiki as part of my Mayan Shamanism course). I teach a new style of healing called Shamballa Multi-Dimensional Healing that stresses personal responsibility and personal healing over working on others.

Yeah.. I've learned some reiki, and I would love to learn more, but the person who was teaching me moved.

I think that some people just aren't sensitive enough to pick up the energy you need to do reiki. Some people aren't able to feel where the energy goes, or how it works. Some people can't even do energy work at all. I'm pretty sensitive and sometimes it's hard for me to even work on people. Sometimes their energy is so different from mine that I have a hard time doing anything with them.

Nothing like a question about healing energy to get the mainstreamers to pounce! Personally I doubt that the energy healing is going to help the trees, but then I don't understand healing energy as well as I would like. I certainly do not totally discount healing energy and note that it has been used by man for thousands of years. Those who worship the false gods of science are quick to say that healing energy is not valid because it is not scientifically measurable. But not scientifically measureable today does not mean it does not exist. A great fallacy of the science believers who like to quote mainstream controlled and apologist sites is that they make the false assumption man has always made - that today's science is the pinnacle of knowledge and understanding, when history has taught us time and again that the science of today is usually outmoded in years to come. At one point, it was believed that the atom was the smallest particle into which matter could be divided because nothing else could be seen or measured. Then along came protons, neutrons and electrons and they were believe to be the only and smallest parts of matter. And that too turned out to be false. Likewise, at one time the prevaling "science" or wisdom held that the earth was flat and that the earth was the center of the universe which all things revolved around - and those who dared say otherwise were persecuted as the "woo" sellers and heretics of their day. I am certain that someday man will look back on the barbaric and failed methods in the war against cancer - where the best "science" has to offer is trying to cut out, burn out and/or poison out the mere symptoms of cancer without treating the actual cause of the cancer and truly curing it - as the dark ages of medicine. But those who suggest alternatives that are often more successful and much less dangerous are called the "woo" sellers of today. Science has not become God, nor has it replace or surpassed God and nature, neither or which are quacks or ever have been - while what is considered science in one age often is revealed as quackery in another. Just because we do not understand or cannot measure something according to today's limited scientific knowledge does not mean it is not valid.

I'm not into Reiki but being a healer takes a mindframe that is willing to give a lot... you're exposed to all kinds of things, viruses, bacteria, negative energy, ..... lawsuits... so have compassion for those who can't.
