I don't want them to call me and try to get me to use their paln.

If you sign up with them, they will contact your current provider to "port" your telephone number to their service.

Otherwise, I doubt it. I get a lot of snail junk mail from them but never any calls; maybe that is thanks to the Do Not Call list.

ST is right....if everything runs smooth during porting....only your new provider will call and ask you, " is this the number xxx-xxx-xxxx" and you say yes, that's all...and you know then that your phone-number is ported!

they will take care of everything for you. you will probably receive stuff in the mail trying to bate you into switching back.
