Depends. I imagine taking pride in your child's work wouldn't be sinful. But once you border on arrogance.... I believe there's a LOT of grey area, but it can be.

There is good pride and bad pride. Here are some examples of good pride mentioned in the Bible:
2Cor. 7:4 I have great confidence in you; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged; in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds.
2Cor. 8:24 Therefore show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our pride in you, so that the churches can see it.
Gal. 6:4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,
James 1:9 The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position.
James 1:10 But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower.
The bad pride says: "I am my own king, I do what I want, I don't care if it's right or wrong." God despises this kind of pride, because this pride also rejects God.

If used in the wrong way it is a sin. If you are prideful to the point were you brag about yourself then that is wrong pride. If you'r proud of your child for getting an A in school then that wouldn't be wrong. If you go to work and brag about your child's A then that might be wrong if it's done inappropriately. In general Pride is only wrong when it's about yourself.

Yes. See Isaiah 14:12-14. Look at the "I"s there.
This is the pride of Lucifer, and HIS SIN.

It certainly is. When you are to pridefull it dissables some of your better judgement for sure.
Look at cultures and or groups of people in then bible once God blesses them because they are meek and living his commandments and they begin to prosper then boast and then that leads to pride and thinking they are better. There are many different types of pride tho this is one example. Then God has to smack them back down so they can see clear again.

Pride occur naturally just like happiness. It occur when one appreciates some merit in himself or something he is attached emotionally to. So it is not a sin
It is to be distinguished from arrogance
