My husband and I clash because we have different points of views on how to raise children. He says we need to talk about these things, but when we do, he gets mad at me because I don't agree on some of the things that he suggests but he never agrees on what I suggest. I'm sure most women can relate, how can we work on this without clashing? I've tried talking to him, but it doesn't work.

My wife and I don't always agree, and I am usually the first one to get frustrated. However to avoid clashing in front of the kids we have agreed to sit down at night and brainstorm ideas, write them out and pick from the list of ideas we come up with together, Then if we still disagree we try each's idea for a week or so to see the best results

Try surfing the internet for articles on raising and discipling children in the age group of your kids. There is a lot of great information and lots of great ideas, including how important it is for parents to agree on an approach and sticking with it as a couple. Then go over the articles you find with your husband and hopefully you can both agree.

Both of you may need to be more open minded. Look for areas of compromise and build on that. Try to understand why your husband has the views that he has. People tend to parent the way their parents were with them.

For get parenting class's. what my wife and I do is when one says something to the kids the other stays out of it. Back up your husband. He should also back you up. I feel time outs are a waist of time and acomplish nothing. But when My wife puts our 3 yr old in one I just walk away.
