my opinion on god is that there probably is one (maybe 2,3,4 of them, who knows!) my opinion on religion is that all the major religions have it wrong, that too much has been read into it. For instance in my opinion the bible is no more than a set of moral codes laid down by man, rules and guidelines by which everyman of every creed, colour etc can embrace, a way to make the world nicer if you like. What are your opinions on god(s) and religion?

PS please dont bite my head you will notice that this is all opinion which everyone is entitled to so no comments about my eternal damnation etc.

That is your opinion, but I would disagree stongly. You can't base an eternal destiny on what you think sounds good or easy. Your opinion has been more popular lately because it is easy and it leaves you with no obligation.

I think you base your opinion off of speculation and ignorance of history and religious texts. I think you are asking the question to get an "okay" from people so you don't have to find out what the truth is. I also know that you will never be okay with believing that because it is empty and hollow. It has absolutely no rational explination because it is based on feeling and emotion, not intellect.

Yes, you are entitled to your opinion and I for one respect that. I believe in one God and follow Christianity. For me belief in the Bible hinges on belief in Jesus Christ. I Jesus is who he says He is than you have to believe that He would not allow a book like the Bible to exists if it wasn't true. The evidence for the existence of Jesus is a well documented historical fact. His deity, death and resurection is next question. I believe in it for many reasons. One of the top reasons was demonstrated by His apostles. When He was arrested and crucified they went into hiding. They thought that surely they would be next. But, something changed that. Not only did they come out of hiding, but the advanced His cause publically with death as a result. What event changed their actions, the resurected Christ.

I'm glad to read your statements as opinions. To me that means that you still have an open mind. I pray that you would agree with the Christian outlook. But, until then I pray that you maintain an open mind.

I believe in deities, just not omnipotent creator ones... IMO the guidelines the Buddha put down are the nicest ones to make the world a better place but I'm generally disagreed with by those who feel suduing (note I'm NOT saying "get rid of") ego is a bad thing...

Yeah I agree with you to an extent but I also think God(s) are there to comfort. Rather picture myself in the after life looking down at my kids living their lives and smiling than being wormfood.

I think you are a searcher with an open mind and an open heart. I hope and pray that you will continue to search and find the Truth.

No God(s), as there is *no* supernatural (and no evidence).
Religious diversity, especially at the global level, strongly tends to divide peoples, not unite them (this is self-evident).

There might be many gods, but there is only one God.

And He wants us to be with Him, to follow Him and to praise Him.
