Everything you buy onboard including shore tours goes on your cruise account. At the end it is all charged to your credit card. The only cash you need is for tips, gambling, and small onshore purchases. $100 per person should be plenty for the 4 days unless you gamble a lot.
Drinks can be anywhere from $3-$7. Be warned that even though arranging tours offshore and not on the ship may be cheaper, there is no guarantee that you will not miss the ship.

I have been on 11 cruises. I am going on another (7 day) in August. Here is a good rule of thumb....
1. decide what you want to do in each port
a. do NOT purchase shore excursions from the cruise line the prices are stupid
2. If you are going shopping in ports set a spending limit
3. figure that transportation in each port should run about $20 per person
4. Add excurison, shopping, transportation, and about $20 - $40 per person per port for food & drink
5. Should give you a realistic number
Drinks will run $4-$8 per on board

Drinks are charged to your room, which is good because you don't have to carry cash and bad, you tend to loose track of the $$$. Watch for things like rum parties and wine tastings which might let you drink for free.
The cruise line should be able to provide you with an example list of shore excursions at the ports of call. Although it is sometimes better to go on you on, especially for a basic snorkling trip or to see a particular site, it will give you a ballpark of the total cost of transportation, admission fees, equipment, etc.
If you like to gamble, factor that in. But again, you can usually put it on your room so cash might not be an issue.
Have Fun!

Bring a credit card, your ATM card and about $ 400-500 cash that should do it.
The cocktails will run you $6-7 on the ship.
Enjoy your cruise.

drinks are about 6.95 each but you can get the drink of the day in a cup and not a sourvenoir mug for about 4.95. My husband and I got a bud light and a lemon drop and with tip it was over 13.00
