i got my first tattoo on my lower back last year and am realizing how true it is - they say you can't get just one! i have a very small design i want on my inner wrist. my pain tolerance isn't very good and i thought the back one was incredibly painful, but i'm willing to go through it again.

for those of you who have a wrist tattoo, how badly did it hurt? i know there's not a whole lot to cushion the needle there. thanks

I have a total of 4 tattoos - ankle, back, hip & wrist. Out of all of those the wrist was the LEAST painful. I thought the tattoo artist was joking when he put the first ink on and was waiting for me to cringe or something. I hardly felt a thing! Very pain free spot compared to the back or ankle. No worries!

Honestly the ones I have on my wrist only hurt when going on the sides of the wrist, it really wasnt that bad on the inner wrist and wasnt bad at all on the top. But every person is different and has a different pain tolerance. Also some people have gotten tattooed on their upper arms, and cried. Then that same person has gotten another tattoo on the top of their foot that wraps around her ankle, didnt even move while getting it and was actually playing games on her cell phone. So really some people also have certain areas that are very sensitive to them.

I hope you didnt get a butterfly on your lower back, or a playboy bunny, or the damn cherries. Get something that has meaning to you, that way when you are old and you have to actually explain what the tattoo is, you can tell a good story as opposed to a stupid one.

Okay, I have tons of tattoos, wrist and hands and fingers. Here is the basics. Any part of your body exposed to the sun will cause you minimal pain. UNDER your wrist/arms is NOT exposed so it will hurt a little more. Every ones tolerance is different. My ex had her toes tattooed! That is 'sposed to be the most painful. Hints. Don't talk to much to your ink-man, if you piss them off they will bury the needles! Tattooists are "artists" they like to do their own work. Good luck

All tatoos hurt but wrist tattoos have been rumured to be much less painful that others. It might get in the way of being a dermatologist because tattoose although arent neccessarily bad for your skin - not everyone knows that

I have an Aries symbol directly on the inside of my wrist. It didn't hurt, it was just a bit annoying. As my artist was doing the tattoo my fingers were jerking because he was hitting the nerves in my wrist...

What sucks is you can't really ball your fist up because it will then make your veins stand out and that certainly won't help...

But pain? No pain... so don't worry! :)

I have a tattoo on my forearm. It barely hurt at all. It shouldn't be as bad as your lower back. In the source website, someone says that they got a tattoo on the wrist and it wasn't as painful as he was told it would be.

i have a wrist tattoo, and at first i was kinda worried it would hurt. cuz there is hardly any fat there my wrists are kinda small. On my wrist, i have a banner with my nickname inside took bout fourty minutes, and it was nothin. only the outline hurt everything else was a breeze. and yes tattoos are very addictive, i've got over 15 tattoos. be careful now.

i have both of my wrists ink'd and it hurt about the same as my lower back, just didnt last as long due to size. It did hurt more when he got closer to the actual palm but it wasnt unbearable.

being that its on your wrist, make sure you keep it clean and moisterized. After its healed don't forget sunblock since its more out in the open.

Good Luck ♥
