You do realize that in the early years of the Christian church, this symbol was used by the church. It was used to represent the Five wounds of Christ. This symbol can also be used to represent the five senses, and the five limbs of the body (two legs, two arms and a head as well as five fingers and toes.) So I don't understand why you are against it. You claim this is a symbol of the devil, when the church used it to represent itself. Now there is a contradiction. Seriously think about it without referring to your bible, and don't make any uncalled for comments. Only YOU will look like the fool.

I'm a Christian and I'm not against the pentagram. I know what it stands for, but I also know what some people use it to represent. Witchcraft. I am not against the symbol, in fact I have it tattooed on my arm. It is just a symbol and just like Satanists inverting the cross, any symbol can be used and subverted for whatever means someone wants. I define the one on my arm as being the human body, as well as the elements, and then the circle around it (making it a pentacle) represents God surrounding all of it. I know what some people use to the symbol for and what it is most associated with, and I get judged for having it on my arm, but I don't define it that way. Regardless of what the majority are saying and what has been done in the past, I believe every person must decide for themselves regarding topics such as these.

Thank you! Someone who actually looks up stuff! =) I get so tired of hearing that the pentagram is a symbol for the devil. It never was a symbol for the Christian devil/Satan. It wasn't until the early 1920's that the word Pagan was even being used to describe those outside of Christianity! As a description for religions outside of it... During Jesus' own time, the word Pagan simply meant a "common person" or peasant. 98% of the population today would be considered Pagan during his time.

All that info out there and people would rather believe the BS propaganda a church spread because it didn't like religious competition.

Who says the Christian church isn't evil? Just remember you were not at the table with the groups that orchestrated the bible you have come to know today.

To mislead a group of people only take 95% truth with one big lie. Then you indoctrinate the masses into that lie then it becomes the truth except the ruling class owns the masses.

The truth is in your face if only you would educate yourself in how to see it. Ask yourself why the bible say most Christian will be mislead? The seed for this deception was set up over 2000 years ago but you can't see if your only source of information is the bible.

Hmm, but before the church used it, it was used in paganism to explian life, each point is an element, and the top one is the most important factor of life,
the Divine Spirit. ( god.)

But alot of religions do use the pentagram for many differnt resons, bt I dobn't think any man made symbol can hold a power of evil.

I'm Christian, and my religion does not use symbols in its worship. If early "Christians" did, it was well after apostacy had crept in. In any case, I don't see what point you're trying to make. "Oh, the early Christians used it... well then Christianity must be from the Devil too..." I don't get what you're trying to say.

You know what else? Satanists use the upside down cross but there is also an extremely Christian faith that uses it. I think they are called the followers of John or something like that.

Great :D Personally I love the pentagram. If the pentagram is up-side-down, it means that you prefer the instinctial pleasures like sex and food, while the pentagram with the thing pointing upwards means you think emotions, your spirit and your brain is more important.

Give sources that say it was used by the early Christian Church. Yeah, the pentagram is used by Satan worshippers AND is found in the architecture of many Mormon Temples.

What now?

I personally don't like squares, but some people hate all sorts of geometrical shapes.

As a Christian, shapes don't affect me.
