I would suggest that you ask him to clarify this statement to you in a way that you can understand it.
Somtimes they speak to us in psychobabble and it just makes them sound as though they know what the f they are talking about but in actuality they really don't.
Who knows what he really meant but him? Ask him.

It would help if you could tell us the context that he said this in. My wild guess would be that he was saying you have a frailty complex, and that whatever you guys were talking about is opening questions about it, and breaking it down.
By frailty complex, I mean either 1) A tendency to set yourself up for failure. 2) A tendency to be very easily emotionally injured, or 3) A tendency to present yourself to the world as weaker or more "frail" than you actually are. 4) A self esteem complex.
His fancy wording, just means that whatever you guys were talking about that that moment, is coming into question, and he feels you're making progress, or at least he has an idea of what you need to do to gain progress.
I once had a girlfriend who went out of her way to set herself up for defeat, not even realizing it I'm pretty sure. Her life revolved around perfecting this image of being someone that everyone else took advantage of and who was always unfairly treated. That's how she felt, and that's what she wanted the world to see. I would dare say she was living for the perfection of her frailty.
But, I could be TOTALLY wrong, heh. I'm just stabbing in the dark. If you give me the context of the meeting, I could probably help you better.

The good old doctor wants the patient to see more about life and to reveal more about how she is reacting to the pressures in life. He doesn't have to gamble because the pressures will become rather severe as time passes. After the teen years are gone society becomes very rough on those who remain independent.
